Focusing on things like term limits IMO is a waste of time. They're never gonna vote for those on a federal level. What needs to be focused on is getting all this money out of politics.

How long a person holds office isn't the problem. The problem is what their beholden to once they get there and see that they have to spend half of their day dialing for dollars.
dviss1 thats my point, if they are there for life them become more beholden. Congress or the Presidency should not be a life long profession, its supposed to be service to the country. Thats just my take.

No, that's a horrible argument, it's exactly backwards. Lobbyists become more powerful if the representatives are new to the game, not less. If you know the rules, and how the game is played, and how to bend the system to your ends, and the other guy doesn't, you have a big advantage. What we need is term limits on lobbyists.
