I hope so, or at least beat them in 5 games. They lost to SAS in 5 games last year. If they lose in 5 games it will mean they spent an extra $55+ million to get one extra season win and no improvement in the playoffs. BNM
OKCs biggest mistake will end up being building around Westbrook. That dude will never win a ring unless he changes his game. He’s played with superstars his whole career and always underachieved. That’s not a coincidence. Still hilarious to think at one point they had KD, Harden, Russ, and a prime Ibaka and didn’t win multiple championships, nevermind one.
Hey, to be fair, Russ has already helped win a championship - for GSW, and possibly another for HOU. Everyone who leaves OKC experiences more success elsewhere. He makes his teammates better - after they leave. Man, really makes me wish there was some way we could land Paul George. BNM
Plus, have you looked at that contract? Next year Russ + Melo + Steven Adams will be making 97% of the projected salary cap. He not only holds them back on the court, his contract is going to prevent them from building a competitive roster for years to come. BNM
Yes, me too. The lying hillbilly owners stole that team from Seattle. We either need a realignment of the divisions or more actual NW teams in the NW division. We don't have a single division foe in the same fucking time zone and MIN and OKC are two time zones away. Move OKC back to SEA and MEM back to VAN and restore the natural order. BNM
