I am in that same age range, my grandparents had a diary farm, my father married into it and made ice cream for 44 years. He was a sax/clarinet jazz musician and played in polka bands too.:oldman:

I think the most damning case against Stotts is the third quarter has been our undoing in both games. He's had the half to make adjustments, and we've gotten crushed out of the break.

How many times have we come out of a time out and come up empty on a shot that hopefully wasn't diagrammed during the time out?
Also, when was the last time a 2-for-1 worked? At this point I think one full possession would be better than two 5-second possessions. Not that we can do much with 24 seconds either...

Also, what is it going to take for Stotts to ever bother getting a technical when we get hosed on a horrible call? It's absolutely ridiculous how reluctant he is to do it. Every good coach in the league does it, and they usually benefit from the subsequent calls. But Stotts? Nothing.

Let's see, Stotts has improved every year but one. And we've been to the playoffs how many times under Stotts?

Now, we're in the middle of the playoffs and several disgruntled fans in here want him to leave?

Did anyone else notice that some doubtful ref calls may have cost us the game? How about an injury to Nurk so severe that he missed almost all of the second half? Or perhaps a red hot Jrue Holiday had a little to do with it.

I'm almost certain that none of this will have any impact on the doubters but I feel better getting it off my chest.

I would be fine to see Stotts go, can get rid of Olshey as well, make it a clean sweep

Yeah, it's called volatile bandwagon fans. Instead, I suggest a more studied approach.

For the people who voted no, would your answer change if we're swept?

Bandwagon fans don't care about the team. That's why they're bandwagon. The people who are upset and are lashing out are doing so because they're actually hurting. I hate when people assume that anyone who isn't forever positive is a bandwagon fan.

Nope, it is called Bandwagon fans because there are those who jump on and off depending on which way the wind blows.

Season tickets since 1994, tired of the same old underperforming crap from this franchise = bandwagon fan. Got it. If you're happy with forever being first round fodder, that makes you a bad fan, not me.

    Most O-Live-ers are status quo-ers.

Remember that woman from O-Live who was banned here a couple of years ago for being a neurotic maniac whenever anyone said anything bad about the team? What was her screen name again?

Being upset with the team, or down because they're losing, does not mean someone jumped off the bandwagon. It's honestly a worse attitude to tell someone that they're not a real fan because they think the team needs a new coach, or a new GM, or just a new direction in general.

There are several fan types that follow the team...and yes...some of them I tag as fair weather fans....any loss is unacceptable...don't like the owner, coach, GM, roster, draft choices, etc....and they're very consistent about not liking the franchise, yet still keep plugging away....my mom when she was still around was a lifelong Cubs fan...and she weathered some bad seasons...yet always the faithful Cub fan....she got to see them win just before she passed away..there are 30 franchises to root for.....over the years it baffles me how unhappy a segment of posters here seem to consistently be.....doesn't float my boat as a fan but hey...to each his own. Just don't hate on die hard fans that keep cheering. Choices.....credit the Pelicans...they're playing incredible ball in the first round.

This. I am hurt. I am tired. I have been a Blazer fan as long as I can remember. These last two games, the fans don't deserve this. The Blazers have been stuck in mediocrity for so long its miserable. I love basketball. I love the Blazers. I will always be a fan. Yeah, I get angry when the Blazers lose but I am always back the next game. I am not fairweathered, I am not a bandwaggon fan. I am a passionate fan who cares about the teams success and shares the pains of its defeats. I have come to the conclusion last night that our woes as a franchise will not change. Star players don't want to come here. They see the treatment we recieve by the NBA, they don't want anything to do with that. For the Blazers its always going to be mediocre talent and mediocre coaches who try to shape themselves into something greater. Thats how its always been. The '77 team that won the trophy wasn't full of stars. We were underdogs then as we will always be. At times that designation is disappointing, but I have accepted it. Go Blazers!

Well, yeah, I wonder if Blazers actually made me bipolar. Or maybe you have to be bipolar to become a Blazers fan in the first place?

If your life is mediocre for too long is not satisfying and I'm the Blazers fan since Drexler - Jordan finals. Now, even if I don't win championship and I have Rasheed on my team - thats some stuff to remember - passion and heart. Stotts is just boring. If we have to be mediocre and go out in the first round at least give me some fun - fuckin go out on the court and get the ball out of referee's hands, scream, choke someone ffs. This team, and for sure this coach (may be great person) as a coach is absolutely boring.
That's why some people get unicorned after four wins - cos they believe we can win. And then we go back to the basement. Oh crap, this shit again.
I'm not saying, let's go to the finals every year. I'm Blazers fan for to long and I know I have to wait periods to see success, but this era (as it is rite now) will be nothing to remember in ten years time. "Oh yeah, there was this guy Lillard, great player, who once knew, how to get through the first round."

    So, I voted yes.
