I believe the Hawks are going to ask for, at least, a 2nd round pick from a team, to let Bud out of his contract.

The correct answer. Seriously, this would be an unbelievable upgrade. He has coached a 60 win team with Al Horford as his best player. He made Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver all stars. He's no joke
Presumably he wants a roster he can win with. If the money were equal (or close enough) and he had to pick between Milwaukee and this mismatched shit-show, he'd be a fool, to pick the Blazers.
Each have their pluses and minuses. The east is attractive to coaches as well, easier for them to get their teams into the playoffs. But the East has been less forgiving this year. Outside of Giannis I’d say that Portland has more talent as a whole. But you’re also playing in a tough conference that will be getting even tougher next year. Ultimately both of them are good options, and I wouldn’t hate on him if he took the bucks offer... Just about anything must look better than that Atlanta position.
I guess i'm just not a huge fan of any of the Hawk teams save the 2015 one that Budenholzer has coached. I want Stotts gone after this series but taking my anger at Stotts out of the equation i'm not sure Budenholzer is a clear upgrade over Stotts.
