Yeah call me out but not the Stren that said I was "pretending to watch old games" Sometimes this forum just isn't fun to post in.
It was for both of you, I just didn't put his quote in there. You both were doing it. And can the insults. You don't have to call everyone a name when they upset you. You're not Trump.
Well shit I wouldn't of known it was for both since you only quoted me. Nice save though. Not obvious at all. I'm fine with you, I try to be cool with you most of the time but you're one of those that loves jabbing at me specifically when you can. Also, I don't know what trump has to do with anything. You have your assumptions of me, okay cool. You know me really well, I know. I'm just saying when some of the older assholes who think they know everything wanna belittle younger people like me and a couple others I know on here, makes this forum just not fun. So yeah it starts to feel like when you're younger you already have this group in here that automatically think you're a dumb ass. Real telling about some of the people on here. Luckily I like some people on here as well as the blazers.
Not saying you're Trump is the biggest compliment one can bestow upon another, is all I'm saying. No one -really- cares about peoples' ages around here. Besides, the young/old thing will go on forever. I still get it - I'm only 33... I don't know shit about the Early 90's teams since I was so young. I never really became a fan of the team until I randomly went to a game several years back (When Oden missed 2 ft's to tie a game against Denver) ... Got hooked. Now, I had listened to Schonz and all that, but it didn't shift to fandom until that day. No idea why. Giving you perspective. I'm actually a lot closer to your side than the other. It's okay.
Okay that's fine but I do think there is a real issue on here within the subject I'm talking about. It is what it is though, kinda always gonna be like that.
Old school/new school is always going to be a thing. lol. Over at the BBS board in Houston they get pretty bad about it, too. It's a society thing. Old people don't yell from their porches at the young kids for nothing!
IMO, the main issues here are victim mentality and confirmation bias. It's easy to attribute issues to everyone else and therefore not have to take responsibility for ones own contribution to the problem. It's easy to see only that which supports ones preconceived notions and to ignore that which contradicts them. These of course are not limited to a single poster or generation (though more pervasive in some than others).
Pot calling the kettle black. You call old people stubborn for thinking young people are "retarded". You spout ageist stereotypes while accusing others of being ageist. I don't recall any other poster playing the age card until you showed up. You, obviously have a problem with older people. Frankly, it's getting old (pun intended). Why do you have to make everything about age? Can't someone disagree with you just because they have a different opinion, regardless of the date on their birth certificate. And keep in mind, age is relative. You lump HCP in with "the old people". To me, he's a cocky, young whippersnapper. BNM
You left out "stubborn". Now, leave me be. I need to go find my bifocals and hearing aid so I can read the National Enquirer while I watch Judge Judy! BNM
I apologize again to our all time greats on behalf of this board. Even BRoy was disrespected by this thread.
