I’ve also said that we’ve overachieved relative to our talent. It’s more or a credit to Stotts than Olshey.

And for the record I’m only for firing Olshey because I believe someone has to take the fall. I’ve given him his shared due on this board.

Anyone else notice Jake Layman and Papa G didn’t have an exit interview with the media? Not that I was dying to hear what they had to say about the season but it seems weird they didn’t even speak with the media considering all of the other end of bench guys did.

They can say all they want but this symbolizes how a Portland fan felt during these playoffs.

Yeah, it seems they asked most the players what the team needs and they all pretty much passed as it seems this team does have a sense of unity. I can only imagine how many players a Westbrook or Cousins would throw under the bus if they were asked that question for their respective team.

I mean Biggie didn’t get one either. Don’t know what they’d ask them anyway.

But I doubt Layman will be here next year.

Ha Ha.... Russ would be blasting people. He has already thrown just about every player he has ever played with under the bus. Including Durant!
I kind of have to agree with CJ on that whole "Lost 10 straight Playoff games" thing. They have lost 6 of those to the Warriors. and everyone is forgetting they beat the Warriors also.
I am really looking forward to seeing how this Pels vs Warrior match up is going to go? Warriors are up 3-1 and the Spurs did get a game. I think the Pelicans are better than the Spurs. If that second round series turns into a long series that might take some of the sting out of the sweep.
Olshey says he doesn't want to make any quick decisions. Something tells me he wants to know exactly how good the Pels are?

Yeah, never good to jump to conclusions without getting as much info as you can. If this forum had any say so, we would have a different coach every week and player turnover would be faster than a revolving door in downtown New York.

I think this was the most revealing.

Finally someone explicitly saying that we need a more varied attack than Dame/CJ pick and rolls.

I tell you what, we should have end of season exit interviews here. . He can't go a day without calling somebody or their posts "stupid" or "dumb" or something along those lines. Lighten up Francis. All this time I thought it was just The HCP he had issues with.

And on a side note, the only thing I'd change is that DarkWing shouldn't be making those lame game threads anymore. HE is the real reason we lost this series and you all are too STUPID and DUMB to acknowledge it! #RipCityFAMS

Not sure I can agree with all of it but I certainly like some of it.

I can't believe this Stotts quote hasn't garnered more attention.
Why the hell is he not going to evaluate the job he did?

To get better, you sit down and take a look at what you did well & poorly. You figure out what went wrong & fix it.

He's content... This attitude permeates across the team.
Dame 'brags' that he takes the highest number of difficult 3pnt shots in the league. It's not a good thing... Sit down and figure out how to get better & easier shots.

Because there's no culture of accountability in the team from the top down. You think Pop would answer the question like that? Nope.
