Crazy thing is, it all started when I told Denny or Sly or somebody on here I was going to go work for the Lakers in the playoffs one season when we didn’t make it. And it jokingly kinda took off from there. I’ve never been a Laker fan regardless of having a ton of family down there. I can think of 5 or 6 other things that would make somebody want to block me on here before this though.
Seems like he replies to every post of mine with some smack talk. Every one. I haven’t replied to him or posted about him in forever......probably until just yesterday. I won’t ever put him on ignore, I don’t do that on here. I’m interested in everybody’s take. But it’s almost automatic, whatever the topic or thread that he will fire back some bullshit towards me huh?
You know what this board needs? For everyone to get into a big room together. Then we all drop acid. After the 10-hour trip, everyone crashes to sleep, tired. Next day, we're all friends. Then we climb into the hippie bus and drive around the state, telling everyone to legalize it. Then we get on with our careers, getting college degrees and getting praised for being hard workers, while overpaid overweight know-nothing brain-dead terrorists put tens of millions of Americans into prison because the land of freedom would fall apart if millions of people took acid, which of course they do. Then we fight torture wars to force our legal system onto other countries. Then we wonder why they fight us. Man, this is like science fiction. I gotta stop imagining alternative realities. What's Olshey doing? Has he gotten off the phone yet with the other GMs? I can't wait to hear the next of his many trades.
Sorry, but it's not made up. I like HCP as a person. Briefly met him once. The L@ker shtick was funny for a short time, but like any joke that you hold onto too long it got very old. Just got to the point where he was never adding any real content (which I know he is capable of) and was 100% stirring the pot. I don't have time for that. If he's done with that phase, the someone can let me know. I don't have many on ignore, but I can say with certainty that the only ones that are there is because they never have anything worthwhile to add (on either side of the debate).
While I understand his feeling, I disagree with his expression of that feeling. While working as an engineer, I've had other people take credit for my work. I shouldn't care 'cause we all worked for the same company but it bothered me, nevertheless. Although I thought it was wrong, I never said a word. Here's a tip, when somebody else gave me a suggestion that worked out brilliantly on a problem I was working on, I always gave that person credit for their work and I tried to reach out to their manager to give that credit to.
Still, it's nice to see you address it directly. I really didn't know for sure until now. I guess part of my confusion resulted from all the assumptions that other people made.It just goes to show you that you should never depned on others for your facts. You should always check them out for yourself.
You can tag someone while they are on ignore. As I said above, if he is back to posting more content than snark, I would gladly remove the restriction.
