It depnds on the price. His value is no longer on a premium level. Although he's not exactly what we need, Rudy Gobert was the best player in that series, proving the importance of locking down the paint. He forced Russ to adjust his entire game because he took away his driving lanes. Whiteside could potentially bring that here, along with Zach, this could be a scary duo. Having said that, I wouldn't give up core players for him: Dame/CJ/Zach.
Nurkic is a better player, younger, and has a better attitude. I don't understand why some people don't want to re-sign him for $15M a year but are down to trade for Whiteside... Just makes no sense to me.
Is he wrong though...? All of his trades the past couple years have been financially motivated, other than Collins (which was cheaper than 15 and 20 anyway), who Olshey scouted and liked.
Yes he’s wrong on not being “self motivated”, “sits on ass all year” “content” and “not working phones”. Unless he’s there and we don’t know it.
