So frustrating. Got the third seed and doomed ourselves to a bad matchup (both in the first and second round) - instead of playing OKC who we own and Houston, who we at least played well against. I hate basketball.

Joe Ingles had a career high 27 points (10/13), a career high 7/9 three point shots, and now has the record for the most points scored in an NBA playoff game by an Australian.

Huge win for Utah last night, especially after Houston beat them so heavily in game 1 and came back from deficit to lead in this game. They didn’t even need a huge night from Mitchell to pull it off because Ingles went off and the entire team including Exum, Crowder and Burks from the bench contributed.

Even though I am supporting them I can’t say Utah are favourites yet despite winning the homecourt advantage. They need to win the next two to become that. Jazz are extremely strong at home and in the playoffs atmosphere it becomes even more of an advantage but Houston are a damn good team so it will be hard.

If Jazz could win this series this would be one of the biggest playoffs upsets of recent times.

So we would've played better against Houston instead of New Orleans because... matchups?

OKC or Houston would've likely done something new that Stotts wouldn't be able to adjust to and the narrative then would still be "Stotts is great, we just ran into a bad matchup..."

Truer words were never spoken D. I was there a year ago this month and couldn’t believe I’d driven 2000 miles just to end back up in Portland (without the surrounding beauty). I found Austin to be very overrated......

Then why don't we bring in as a coach just for summer or training camp?

I had the same thought. Aside from Miller, I can't think of any/many pure PG's we've had since Strickland and Pippen (huh?). Oh, Sergio! Dude could sure throw a lob to Rudy.

Lots of combo guards (Lillard, CJ, Roy, Crawford, Blake, etc.) and pass-second types (Stoudamire, Felton), but very few that could consistently hit a guy in the shooting pocket, let alone time a pass in traffic.

Indeed. We lost all our games against Houston this season, we actually beat NO the last time we played them. If we went up against anyone other than New Orleans and were eliminated people would be saying “what if we faced NO instead”. Most people were over the moon with the fact that we were going to face them in the first round.

Making the excuse of it was a "bad matchup" to losing to OKC in the playoffs would have been hilarious since they swept OKC in the regular season. That totally would have been used though.

Ok I was wrong. You're pretty fixated on something pretty trivial.

And I thought it was a stretch to include Pippen in the list of pure PG's...
