I wonder if there are Utah fans posting in forums that if not for their 11 game winning streak they would have been just barely an over .500 team. :devilwink:

To be fair, Rubio's last season in Minnesota almost mirrors his season this year in Utah.

Chicken and the egg. Did NOP's players all play the best offensive ball of their careers, or did our defense make it easy for them to get into a rhythm?

It wasn’t our defense, it was our offense... hard to defend when you are turning the hall over so much into fast breaks.

It's what Toronto is NOT doing. Whenever Bron starts to go off on them, they wilt under the pressure.

They have the same problem Portland has. They have nobody to lean on besides their two guards and occasionally their center.

Untrue. They have the best bench in the NBA.

    1. No they don’t.

    2. Was I talking about their bench? I was talking about their entire roster. They’ve had the same issue every season. Name one player on their team they can go to when the guys I listed aren’t scoring. They don’t have anyone.

It looked pretty easy for the Pecans in the half court, too.

In game 2, LeBron made how many long mid-range fadeaways in a row? It's not Toronto's lack of defense.

Yeh, it looks like it is not gonna happen, and as a result my fan interest has dropped to maybe it's lowest in 40 years. I mean, where is the hope? I had some hope we could make a trade at the deadline, when we still had some expiring contracts, or guys who would be restricted free agents, but nothing happened. I have had hope that we would add a big man coach or at least a guy who specialized in fundamentals. Hasn't happened. Despite Bones' valiant efforts, it's difficult to envision a trade that will drastically improve the team this summer. So, coaching was the one place I had hope that we could change and improve. Now...............?

and why would Portland want to take a risk on a person with zero head coaching experience? Let someone else see what she can do. Would you hire a male coach with limited assistant coach experience?

Because the future best player to ever grace the Blazers Uni is in his prime? :dunno: Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying don't do it, just at least something one would assume to be considered.

Thus the chicken and the egg comment. You're looking at effect and ignoring that there might be a cause. Good defenses make it tough to find that rhythm in the first place. The league is full of shooters that can make the majority of their shots in practice. It's what they can do when guarded that sets them apart. The better the player, the less opportunity you can afford them or they'll torch you.

Well let's just grab some assistant coach from college out of the sky then because "why not?" Your reasoning is lacking substance.
