Put me on ignore if you are soft mentally and it bothers you so much... I already told you I will keep posting the same shit until someone is held accountable for that miserable season... either Neil or Stotts fired or CJ traded. Don’t really care about your opinion of my basketball knowledge... you thinking the Dame/CJ combo could ever win a championship or even legitimately compete tells me all I need to know about your knowledge of the game.

You should really stop trying to think what I think as it makes you look foolish, but then again posting the same tired shit on a daily basis already puts you in that category. By the way, Neil and Olshey are one and the same. :biglaugh:

My impression of this and similar threads is that you dominate with almost half the posts, repeating the same thing several times per day. That makes it seem as if half the board agrees with you. Which of course is your intention.

Ultimately it seeems like PA is ok with Neil even though I’m not, so all I can really hope for is that NO makes the moves that turn the Blazers into contenders. Hey maybe NO makes some moves and the Blazers make the second round next year and my sentiments change... We’ll see.

There isn’t a package Portland could put together to get Kawhi.

Danny Ainge could trade Hayward or Kyrie for Kawhi.....I wouldn't be surprised to see Boston get him

I don’t think the Spurs would be interested in Hayward for Kawhi. Maybe Kyrie, but not sure.

I disagree... I think a package of CJ, Collins, and a 1st would be hard to beat... and anything better than that, a team would be giving up too much probably, and would have to really think if it was worth it... Can’t see Boston giving up Tatum or Brown... Hayward coming off major injury... And without trading those three it makes no sense to bring in another SF

I read somewhere that the Spurs weren’t going to trade him to the western conference. I mean it’s all speculation with “sources” so I wouldn’t take it that seriously.

I think Boston would definitely give up Brown. Even then, they have Rozier.. they have SACs 2019 unprotected pick among many others... they could beat that package without including Brown or Tatum.

I wouldn't do it. It doesn't make us contenders IMO. We'd be better but not good enough to beat GS or HOU, and then Kawhi leaves.

I'm not trading CJ unless it's for a deal or kicks off a series of deals that makes us good enough to beat HOU and GS in a series, or makes us better in the future with young talent/picks, returns a package of multiple good role players (Middleton+Brogdon, for example), or has no risk (Kawhi leaving is too risky).

That's 4 scenarios I would explore trading CJ in and I don't think trading CJ, Collins, and a 1st would fit under any of those.. it's actually go against a couple of those. I feel like it's be like Detroit when they traded for Griffin, except Kawhi would leave and we'd have to rebuild with no assets or youth (because we traded CJ, Collins, and a 1st).

IMHO it's because most fans are happy with having good guys who are competitive enough to make the playoffs.

Portlanders have always been a little small town thinking. It's part of the reason there is only 1 of the 4 major sports there.

If more fans demanded change, there would be change

You and gronk should gather up your group and protest in front of the practice facility and then we will get LeBron, lol.

I believe that’s the point. It would take a trade for a player of LeBron’s magnitude (hint: there’s only one LeBron) to make the Blazers competitive with the Warriors. We can all agree that’s not happening. Despite that, some around here are demanding Olshey’s head on a platter for failure to deliver on the impossible. Most of these same people want Terry’s head on another platter fo failing to coach a non contending team into contention.

I don’t see you in either of those categories, exactly. You just seem to enjoy bitching about our non contending status.

It is a mystery how terrible performance in the Playoffs (when it matters Neil) and terrible use of cap space money gets one job security. Then again, some people think achievement is a bad thing and success is unfair.

I'm throwing this in here special for JLPRK:
"Consider this list: Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal, Joel Embiid, LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Gobert, and Victor Oladipo. Those players are all All-Stars (or DPOY candidates in Gobert) and are all going to be making less money than McCollum next season.

They all also signed their current contracts within one year of McCollum’s, meaning they were negotiating for the same general maximum salaries and under the same CBA rules as McCollum. Throw in the fact that McCollum had a single season track record when he signed his deal, and it’s appropriate to start asking how he managed to negotiate a sweeter deal than nearly one-third of this year’s all-stars."

I will leave you, hyperbole and strawman all to yourself now. Tootles.
