At least he's writing about something other than Luke Heimlich. Of course he'll pick that up again right before the Super Regionals.
In the Internets infancy, message boards, usenet groups and chat rooms were full of fans who would complain about trades that the Blazers didn't make, that in fact where just rumors. Any time a fan complains about a trade that they read in an article or heard on the radio (that has no basis in reality), an angel gets their wings. That and it shows just how stupid that fan is.
Can we get both Kawhi Leonard and Blake Griffin? That should be the grand plan this summer. Not draft picks and building young. Give Dame a winning team!
While I am keen on trading CJ for a better fit on the team, I am actually very weary of trading him (especially with the pick or Collins) for Kawhi without a full medical done on Kawhi. His injury could be something that completely changes his game. It might not be something he can just recover from. Sounds like there is complicated muscle scaring and tissue damage that won't just get better with time. I'm afraid Spurs might take CJ and and we might end up with a chronically injured player who ends up on early retirement. As long as full medicals are done then I'm all in, but I would be very cautious.
Ladies and Gentlemen!! The Comedic stylings of BigGameDamian! Let's give him another hand! And be sure to tip your server. Thank you and drive safely, everyone!
this is a non story Spurs not going to gift Kawhi to a Western Conf team Kawhi wants to be in LA We don't have the pieces to get Kawhi Leonard, assuming he's healthy. If he isn't healthy, the cost is too high for a guy who cant play I just don't see a possible scenario
Stephen Jackson talks all the time about how great of an organization the Spurs have. If anything he's an example of why no one should want to leave them. Rodman I don't really recall if he wanted out or if the Spurs also wanted him gone. He was a headcase even after that with Jordan, granted a really good headcase.
@jlprk made a post that perfectly illustrates why articles like this one by Canzano piss me off. Kawhi injured? Blame Olshey for not trading for him even if he does his homework and finds out it's not looking good for future Kawhi! Kawhi wants out of SA for a BIG market? Blame Olshey for something almost completely out of his control if Kawhi refused to stay! Canzano thinks we should offer CJ? Blame Olshey even if CJ isn't enough to get in the conversation for Kawhi! Break up the back court duo? Blame Olshey for not getting Kawhi and just ignore if the Spurs even want him! McCollum overrated? Blame Olshey for other teams not overrating him too! GM is lazy? Blame Olshey for not trying hard enough with absolutely no knowledge of how much he really offered or if the Spurs even want CJ! Then the cherry on top: Come back during the season and complain that the Blazers didn't execute a made up trade by a local hack columnist that may not even ever of had a chance of happening.
