There is a mall in North Bend, Pony Village. I don't believe I have ever seen a Black person there. Each year, you see less people of any description, probably due to the stores closing one by one. err, maybe it's the other way around.
Do you suppose this might be trending in other places too?

Why would black people go to a mall for horses?

Damned if I know. Apparently nothing in Coos Bay is an attraction.

I've heard multiple stories about the stuff that goes in and out of the Port of Coos Bay. If you want to import or export something illegal on the west coast that is the port to use. Deep water port with very few people to pay off.

Near as I can tell, the Port of Coos Bay is in a completing state of dereliction. I see nothing coming in and nothing but logs and chips shipping out. Not to say that is different than any other Oregon Port.

The Navy wanted to build a base there....great deep water port...locals kept voting it down I heard...would've been great for the economy to have it be a port town for the Navy

Maybe it was a State decision but I remember reading about it...the Navy at the time thought it was one of the 3 best ports for a base on the west coast

Of the ones not used by the Navy now, it probably is the best. It would be damn good idea to spread the fleet out some more.
Quite some time back now. I think the environmental concerns pushed the State into rejecting the idea, but I can't remember the detail.

Coos Bay is close to Bandon Dunes.
