First, there's going to be an "Infinity War II". You know the entertainment business well enough to know the Marvel actors all signed contracts. Just see when their contracts with Marvel end, and you can guess when they will die. Cough--Captain America--Cough. Second, in the dialogue, you'll notice Dr. Strange ran something like 14.4MM alternate scenarios (with his control of the time stone) and discovered only one scenario where Thanos wouldn't win. Why do you think he gave up the stone so easily? Third, note the absences in this movie (Ant Man for one) and you'll know who the remaining Avengers look to for help (I bet every single superhero not seen in Part 1 will be one of the half that lived after Thanos snapped his fingers). Fourth, in the spoiler, the pager signal was sent to Captain Marvel (that was her insignia). She will likely be a main character in Part II after she's introduced in her own movie. Fifth, the plot for Part II is clear. The remaining Avengers will get together to capture the Infinity Gauntlet so they can return the universe back to the status quo.
I too think the ending of part one was backwards. Everyone who "died" will end up being saved likely from the soul stone as you mentioned. All or most of the heroes who lived will have to sacrifice themselves. It's really the only way to explain the future movie lineup. Most of those who lived have contracts ending and no longer wish to play the role.
Have you read the comic? Gamora doesn't die and all the others are trapped in the soul stone. Please don't tell me you thought for one second that America would kill off Spiderman. Not happening.
On the flip side, do you think they're going to kill off Black Panther after the huge success that movie had? Not a chance in hell. Plus, this is the first damn Spiderman that hasn't sucked ass. I hope they don't kill him off.
I really didn't like Spiderman Homecoming tbh. I like the actor's portrayal though. Haven't seen Black Panther yet but its in my queue.
I really liked Black Panther. I didn’t care for Michael B Jordan though. I think that guy is extremely overrated. Dating back to the Wire. He’s just not that good. Chadwick Boseman is legit though.
Ant Man and Wasp I'll prob wait for it to hit streaming. Same with Captain Marvel, probably more interested in the post credit scenes than actually bothering to see in theatres.
He's strictly there for comic relief. You didn't think it was funny when he grew to King Kong size in Civil War?
I like Paul Rudd. Ant man has had some funny moments. None of that negates the fact that: He sucks as a superhero.
He’s gonna be very important in part two, I imagine he is gonna try to sneak into the soul gem and release all the “dead” heroes. Or, somehow Captain Marvel or Adam Warlock will prevail over Thanos but that’s the easy way out.
Damn, I'm 180 out from you on this one. I was almost rooting for Killmonger. Now, I don't dispute Boseman has talent. And I don't know how much the character had to be written that way (I've never read comic books). But if you were looking for someone to play an angry young badass, MBJ kinda nailed it.
Took my daughter to this tonight and we both loved it. I was completely lost, but didn’t care. She had a blast!
rumors saying that the Avengers 4 will have Ant Man talk about alternate universes and the Quantum Realm. The remaining Avengers will use that to go to these alternate timelines and back in time to get those versions of the Infinity Stones. Leaked photos would seem to indicate this. I guess they screened some scenes at some Europe meeting or some shit. Stark will make his own Infinity Gauntlet and supposedly the Hulk will wear it? Sounds. Fucking. Lit.
