What a liar. He is so full of shit. His scouts raved about Leonard after the combine leading to him drafting Meyers.

Maybe leanards drafting has pushed him to not take the combine as serious as he did back then?

Going to get a vet....I like it...the youth movement needs a break on our roster. I expect a lot of roster shuffling with the Paul George, Lebron decisions around the corner. A lot depends on who we decide to keep ...I hope it's a 3 and D SF..

why such anger and animosity? The draft is far from an exact science and mistakes are often made. It has a lot to do with most players now being one and done so the evaluation is much tougher.

I know I have said it way to much that I don’t like NO. I honesty don’t know what to make of anything he says, as I just generally don’t “trust” his word. It seems like most of what he said I kind of agree with though... The thing is his moves this summer have to prove it. All that really matters is the results. If next year is worse or ends the same, I don’t think there will be many Blazer fans who want to give him more time...
Even though I openly don’t like him, it appears he will get at least another year and I hope he is more aggressive and takes some swings this summer. Wanting him to fail would just mean the Blazers continue to fail...

Hell, look at the reactions from some in this forum and they aren't nearly as vested as Olshey is. That interview was done shortly after being eliminated. I think there will always be some who despise Olshey no matter what he says.

Let it go. Forum members tend to love high risk/high reward drafting, and then when it becomes Leonard, they insist the GM is an idiot.

Drafting Leonard was one thing doubling down on it... Well I don’t know what that was about...

Could be as simple as Paul Allen wanting to retain him. He has the final say.

It sounds like the Blazers will not be moving up to get Mikal Bridges.

That was six ears ago. Sounds like maybe he's learned from past mistakes.

That's the logic that lead to Indiana trading Kawhi Leonard for George Hill.

One minute he’s the answer the next minute he’s not worth it. Do you want Lee or not?

Neil is a master snake oil salesman.

If there's anything that I've learned from his tenure so far -- don't believe anything that he says.

It's all fluff and PR talk that only works on non-S2 fans.

And Martel killed it at the individual workout so we moved down to get him.......instead of drafting a couple of All Americans options. Neil might not have been with the Blazers at the time but I prefer the BPA strategy.
