huh? Telling someone to accept the rules when they are whining about the rules isn't the same as saying they were breaking the rules. Get a clue.
The reason for my post is to give an example of a situation where a mod sees a post he doesn't like, feels isn't conducive to civil conversation, but isn't moderated because it doesn't violate forum policy. Essentially in contrast to the OP which claims posts will be edited/deleted simply because they are displeasing to the mods. Also, telling someone to GFY isn't a personal attack either, in my mind.
"GO FUCK YOURSELF" isn't a personal attack? What the fuck is it then? A making for a new Hallmark Greeting Card? That is pure bullshit
As I recall, I made a comparison of dviss to the woman piss about being late for closing time wanting special treatment because she was Black. It seems quite accurate to me as part of the debate about whether the complaint was reasonable. I am sure @dviss has an opinion very much different than mine. I see no reason it should not be solicited. This was the response I got from @Strenuus, No rule broke, but in essence, he did not permit my opinion to be voice in a forum were the purpose is to make comparison and give opinions on current events. Seems very arbitrary and total just the opinion of the Mod. If dviss agreed or disagreed, is not unhealthy.
It is. I have had similar posts edited during the playoffs. It was changed to "your post can go fuck itself."
Comparing @dviss1 to the woman was unneccessary. In doing that you are saying 'all black people want special treatment and will yell out racism if they don't get it' which is not a true statement. I get the argument that there was possibly no racism involved in that event, as the bakers had turned away white women just before. That this black woman used "the racist" card in a situation where in fact it may not have been the case. That in my opinion is wrong. But, I wasn't there. I didn't here the words the bakers used in talking to her. So, I don't know. I wonder what exactly African Americans are owed in reperation for 400 years of slavery, racism, and subjectification? How as caucasions can we discuss this with any really understanding? Do young African Americans who were never slaves or expierenced pre civil rights subjectification get to complain? They have all expericiened racism one way or the other. Maybe that enititles them, I don't know. I don't pretend to understand it fully, and as a white man I accept that I can't. I have wondered about my role in this conversation. I never owned slaves, or made African Americans drink from different fountains, or eat in different diners, or go to different schools. Part of me doesn't feel like I have had any more oppurtunity in this current age because the color of my skin. I have struggled. I have been homeless. Another part of me is open to the idea that maybe I have benefitted because I'm white. This country was started by white dudes, but it has changed quite a bit since then. Is there equality now? How much farther do we have to go? Cops are still killing black people. Racism is still rampant. This is the conversation that some of you refuse to begin. A civil one. Instead there is bickering and hate. Let's talk about it instead.
I swear to god your so full of shit sometimes... Trump is literally human garbage. He simply doesn't compare to Obama when it comes to being a good human. And you can't fathom why we think Trump is a piece of shit?? 26 women have accused him of sexual assault.... Such hypocrisy...
If that is the rule, it is a stupid rule and I am objecting. Too damn arbitrary! And you can save this shit for something you could do.
It's known. It has been repeated in this thread over and over. @SlyPokerDog even posted the rules a few pages back
