Wait. Hold the horses. Calling someone a liar is a personal insult? If I say I played basketball this weekend but someone else says I am a liar and that person knows I didn’t play, how is that an insult? It’s someone stating the truth. To me it’s a statement of fact or falsity but not an insult. Y and I had a beer last night. Chris craig calls me a liar. I can’t deny he is correct. I’m not insulted. He is correcting my false statement with the truth.
Thank you for responding. How you see it, is about like I have heard from others. I understand it, but don't quite agree with the conclusions. However, the explanation here is for another day and place. Thanks again.

Good question, @MarAzul . I would say @Further 's analysis is pretty spot-on. And, as a member of the tribe myself, I would also add that Democratic values seem to most line up with Jewish values: Inclusiveness, promotion of social justice, distrusting authority, tolerance, anti-discrimination, pro-education for all. A central tenant to Judaism also is a concept known as Tikkun Olam - that we are all called to heal a broken world. Because of all of this, Jews tend to identify with other groups that have been oppressed.
