Meyers looked improved when he played, but the sample size was really small and rarely did he play against guys who other teams play regularly. I think it’s apparent that Stotts is done with the Leonard experiment. I don’t think anyone wants ML, he’s 26, his contract is a lot higher than you could pay a 20 year old Gleague player with a similar skill set that most teams think they could turn into their own project. I like ML ok, and he’s done what he’s asked, but the fact is he’s just not that good. He has really bad basketball IQ is never in the right place on offense or Defense, his post defense is good, he is a good shooter but his shot motion is too slow so you have to get him while he is wide freaking open or he won’t even attempt the shot. At 26, I highly doubt any team trades for him simply because they want him, now he could be traded because of other reasons, but I really doubt there are a bunch of GM’s out there lined up for him at this point.
No line necessary. It only takes one. Other players who got even worse contracts than Meyers did during the 2016 Summer of Stupid Money have been traded. Some more than once. BNM
Ill take that bet. If you lose, your payment is to never post another negative comment about the team or any of its employees.
Fair enough, but I think a trade would be good for both the Blazers and ML, I kind of roll my eyes when he get boo’d at home by his own fans when he comes into a game. It’s like some fans dislike him so much they want him to fail so they can be right. There may be a GM out there who wants him, guess we’ll see.
Yeah, when teams had money. No one is going to add Leonard’s contract without matching salaries, which almost makes it a waste of time. Most teams couldn’t add him even if they wanted to.
I’d never take a bet that says I can’t be critical of a team I watch and cheer for. Sometimes the criticisms are wrong or unfair, but the stress relief of complaining is great lol!
No, not really. All you do is push your stress and frustration of the team onto others about you. Anyhow, I didn't think you would do it. You like to complain too much and you aren't as sure of your words as you seem based on the fact you wont back them up with the bet. Remember. Mark your words. Dont take the best and your life here will be hell if you are wrong. Take the bet and you wont receive near the crap when you lose.
Just making the point, that sometimes my favorite teams get be frustrating and being able to verbalize it or write it down is a good way to deal with it. Edit: and throwing you off your game was also worth it heh
Actually, I think it’s good to have forums like this because sometimes a team is frustrating you and there are people who are like slow down and get a grip, and I think anyone who’s been a fan of anything long enough need that. My diary doesn’t talk back
Everyone has their limits. Its a free world with free speech, but keep complaining about what people are sick of hearing and you will soon find yourself complaining to a brick wall. The same regurgitation over and over is not complaining. Its just pissing people off.
I get it, that’s why in the sick and tired of NO thread I tried to make my point as to why I don’t like NO and then tried to drop it. No reason to tell people over and over, especially when those people can’t do anything about it. I will admit the 1st half of the 2017-2018 season was about as frustrated at the Blazers / NBA as I have ever been, but now I just hope the offseason goes well so they can go back at it and perform better next year.
I love how several of you are hyping up Meyers like he improved last year. Olshey isn't the only one who'd make a decent living as a used car salesman...
And some of those same people will not acknowledge its a small sample size, yet refute anything form anyone else when its a small sample size they use to reference something. cracks me up!
@Gronk Brady I still have an open invitation if you want to be GM of the Blazers in our mock off season. Give the blow up strategy a whirl!
