We live in a country that would rather be right/on the winning side, rather than sticking to their beliefs and morals.
You make it sound like the only options are what we currently have or complete state controlled domination by social communists. I don't like those options either.
these systems have never really existed except in ideologies.....they always turn into military states with dictators...this commie fear is just McCarthyism and all attempts have had classist structures....those in power never sacrifice the finer things they can enjoy at the expense of the population.
no not at all...Im for always being proactive with finding ways to be more efficient and at the same time improve service's. Im for limited gov and against allowing gov to grow so large with all sorts of reg's that it stifles industry and markets at consumer's expense. Im more for free enterprise with competition driving markets. Consumers are very smart and informed theses days so if a company or agency isn't providing a product or service that meets their expectations, well, the market will provide someone who will. I rest your opinion as well.
I agree that they are really ideologies and they most always turn into military states or dictatorships. Thats what I'm totally against. I also agree that those in power (not all but to damn many, term limits baby) have a hard time sacrificing the finer things. Let the people and markets/industry expose the greedy crooks both political & non political. If we as citizens have superb expectations about our freedoms and ability to learn, create, provide & sustain, and couple it with a respect & civility towards each other regardless of party, race, religion, wow, it makes for a much better environment to live. These are only my thoughts...
Our church, as I have said in here, reaches out and helps. I remember back during the Hungarian uprising in the 50s when we supported a refugee family with living expenses and job retraining. We have long helped. Our Catholic friends have also long helped. Our best friends are Catholic and they help repair homes, do yard work, deliver hot meals and give money for the needy. All this help is about 10% of the minimum needed for the disadvantaged just to keep them going at the current substandard rate. The government must help otherwise we can go back to the 50s when people went hungry and had no place to sleep. I've known families who've lived out of their car. Had to wash up in a filling station bathroom. And Trump wants to cut assistance to the poor?
