So the family booked our annual summer get away. Usually this means a cruise as we love ceuise ships...this summer we changed it up and decided that a road trip ro Baltimore and Washington DC would be fun.

My wife is very supportive that when we do travel she enjoys going to out of town stadiums.

This summer will bring us back to Candem Yards and for the first time Nationals Park.

Ive been lucky enough to see a game in the old and new Yankee Stadium, Shea and Citifield, citizens park in philly, fenway (×2) and sky dome.

What places have you guys been to see a game?

Actually, the only ones I've ever been to is Fulton County Stadium and Yankee Stadium...but I'd like to go to Wrigley and Fenway someday.

Stinkin steamy hot isolated concrete jungle Miami Dolphins stadium (whatever it is named now). Baltimore (M & T) and Camden Yards-Both most excellent. PNC Bank in Pittsburgh (Majestic) , Old (Where you could smell baseball history) and new Yankee Stadium, the old Vet in Philly.

First Ball Yard was Shibe Park (Connie Mack Stadium). The remaining to exclude Tropicana all begin with old. Griffiths Stadium DC, Memorial Stadium, Yankee Stadium & '76 upgrade. Forbes Fiels and Three Rivers in Pittsburgh. Went to the Vet in Philly, Angels Park Aneheim, Dodger Stadium and Fenway. Regret of a Park missed, old Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Would love to see the current Yankee Stadium.

    Bingo,

I'd give both my nuts to science or hazardous waste, to see Wrigley, ...

Fenway too (while parachuting over it, going round and round while pissing on the Fans in a Pinstripe Uni)....

I forgot about Shea Stadium . Had an interesting encounter with Tony Pena at a Mets Pirates game there in'81. Myself and my woman of choice in those times were seated behind the Pirates Dugout. She was wearing her Pirates gear and none other than Tony Pena took notice and gave her a bat. Stadium Personnel took notice and gave the bat back to Pena saying something like "not in New York" . Later on she was given an inflatable bat from the concession stand. The day the strike started in '81 we had tickets to the Dodgers Pirates in Pittsburgh Fernando Valenzuela starting. Ypon the strike ending we were given tickets to a meaningless Cubs Pirates end of season game.

Damn, slippin' away, forgot the Astrodome too. When I was at Fort Polk there wasn't a hell of a lot to do so we'd run to the big city of Houston. Back then some of the Apartment Complexes had better clubs and night life than the supposed clubs. Went to Gillies in Pasadena, had fun dancing the Cotton Eyed Joe with the Red Neck Chicks. I really don't care for the closed in Parks they just don't seem natural.

Astrodome was as horrid a sweatbox, a pitiful sorry sauna excuse 4a cramped ballpark. As unnatural as it comes.
Astroturf & the dome, with no state of t/art (astronaut tech) air coditioning, where fog-ins were t/norm. Utterly Miserable.

I loved t/area around Ft. Polk, lots of pines & great Catfish holes, plenty of bass lakes also. Chenault & Barksdale as well...

I've had buddies throughout the yrs who spent time at Polk. I will always remember their stories pulling and winching slowly; tanks out of the bogs mire and muck in t/marsh outskirts of Fort Polk. The kind of training that turns boys into men...(always one eye open for gators & snakes)...
Good people, food & lots of fun loving cajuns to. My dogs nickname: "Cotton Eye Joe"...
