This Anfernee Simons kid is growing on me the more I read up on him and watch videos... I actually hope we draft him now.

I don't have the patience. He could be really good... in about 4 years. I want someone who'll play NOW. Give me Brunson! (He doesn't just have a high floor, I think he could be a Kyle Lowry type.)

Should do what it takes to get Doncic, CJ/24/and take a shit contract if need be. It’s time to gamble. If we can snag 4 just for taking Parsons you do it. Imagine a 3 guard line up of

    Dame/CJ/Doncic

I would not want Jalen Brunson. At all. Don’t see anything other than fringe backup journeyman.

Feels kinda like a Nolan Smith tier pick.

Is it true the blazers aren’t holding a draft party this year? Is that even something they usually do?

It's a smoke screen. Neil and Paul are popping smoke.

Honestly if Olshey thinks Simons is going to be a quality, starting caliber player, even if it’s three years from now, he should draft him. We’d still have other ways to add vets to the roster.

At 24, you should look for a high risk/reward prospect.

This late in the draft it's rare to find high-impact players. You hope you can land a player who can bolster your bench.

It's not like we're using a lotto pick on the kid. But what if his upside suggests that he can be a diamond in the rough - if you're patient.

Playing at IMG, nobody can pretend like they've scouted him outside the staff. However, he has intriguing qualities that you rarely see:

    *Elite athleticism
    *Elite shooter

He is a few years away, but his upside, to me, says that you take this risk.

Who knows what our needs will be by the time they’d expect him to be ready.

But from what I’ve read (because honestly who has actually seen him play) he’s a good shooter. I’d say that’s a need.

That's true, coming around to him as a prospect.. He actually reminds more of a more raw version, less crafty version of Donovan Mitchell.

He fits a big need if Shabazz leaves via free agency, not that Simons will be ready to fill Shabazz's role from last season.

At 24 you have go with highest upside... one of the scouting reports I read on this guy said he was the best pure shooter to come around in years... that sold me
