What's funny is, I've heard Dviss say that as much as anyone. Nobody says anything. The moment I say it (in a respectful manner), I get bashed.

THE moment? I could give 2 shits about your stupid argument about dips in shooting. I'm talking about you as a poster. EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY you get into some stupid petty argument about some banal, trivial bullshit that derails entire threads. I tried to address it with you in private and you clearly ignored everything I had to say, so here we are. You're certainly not the only one who engages in it, but you're the most frequently guilty of it. It literally affects my enjoyment of reading this board. I come here less, and participate less because I don't want to have to sift through your stupid argument(s) de jour.

    Back on track here,

This has to be a good sign for our draft. Get rid of all the curses before the big day.

You only quoted part of that second post, if you can get 4 strictly for taking Parsons you do it and hopefully Doncic is there and you have that 3 guard lineup. If the asking price becomes CJ for the opportunity to draft Doncic then you give up CJ. More clear?

Starting to like the idea of Huerter if we can't get someone better. Seems to have that killer instinct on releasing threes and decent skills to go with it. Would love to have someone next to Dame or CJ, or manning the SF spot with both who everyone knows you absolutely can't leave open.

I haven't gotten in a serious argument in about a month, actually.

I literally use a phrase that Dviss uses constantly without having argued with anyone in a month, and I have multiple people freak out at me. It's unfair and it's absolute BS that you freak out at THAT dude. A phrase that many people use constantly. I could go a year and treat everybody better than anyone else on this board, and the second I say something that's common-place, I get BS like this. So why even try? The moment anybody acts wrongly towards me, I still get the same 5 to 7 dudes that sit here and are always ready to make a snide ass remark, insult, and/or to completely blow things out of proportion.

You came in here and made it 10 times worse bud. I don't understand people escalating drama by complaining about drama. If you don't want to sift through it, ignore me.

My worst nightmare of Draft Night: "With the 24th pick, Portland selects Grayson Allen". Might be followed closely by picking Simons in the first round.

Nah, Simons is much better than Grayson Allen. I can't stand that dude.

My coaches always said shot pocket in reference to where you start your shooting motion. So for most guys it starts about chest level maybe slightly lower, but the idea when passing to a jump shooter is his job is to already have his hands in position to start the motion and his feet / legs as well, but the pass should hit him in his hands so he doesn’t have to do any extra motions to get into his shot. Maybe My terminology is off?

You're correct, I understand you now. Think is, most guys shot pocket involves their shooting hand on top of the ball to start, and it's very difficult to catch a ball in that manner, so most of the time players will dip to get to their shot pocket and up through their shot line and it helps them with their rhythm.

Agreed, but I don't want Simons at 24. Feels like a huge reach on a player with a long road to usefulness who is a bit undersized as well. Allen to me would be the Nolan Smith of this draft.

One 'Nolan Smith' per 20 years is more than enough.

The forum has kinda changed my mind on him tbh. His upside is pretty high for someone available there.

Simons will be like Rivers or Williams in two years if we are lucky. How many point guard sized shooting guards do we need? If we traded CJ for someone else or 2-4 lottery pick then I could see it. But, otherwise . . .

Hes taller and more athletic than Lou, and definitely more athletic than Rivers. There's so many guards around #24 that it'll be hard not to take one.

Agreed. I'm still holding out that Neil has someone he likes in the 15-20 range, and can work some magic to get there. Not too excited about who is available at 24, but 15-20 there will be some players that could really help.
