I only see one similarity between Nolan smith and Grayson Allen - Duke. Allen is far more athletic and much stronger than Nolan Smith.

 

Don't be so sensitive man... You took what I said and amplified it 100x. It wasn't that serious.

The logistical fact is any movement of the ball away from the rim during your shooting motion is a waste of time.

 

I don't know why that's the only difference you see.

I think it is more the intangibles, or lack thereof. They were both great college players, who don't have the physical attributes or skills to be at the same level in the NBA. Only coincidence they played for the same team. I liked Allen in college, but don't see him on a roster in the NBA in a few years. He isn't a PG and he is undersized on both ends for SG. He is a very poor man's Patty C.

I don’t really read or participate in the annual draft day stuff. It’s all guesses anyway. A giant crapshoot. So I may have missed this on here, but did anybody mention how Mr. Allen didn’t attend any of the workouts? Never happened before.

Not sure it matters, if he does or not he’s probably not judged at his job by how well he can get his shot off vs nba athletes heh. Guys in the draft will be judged by if they can get their shot off or not. Anyways I don’t want to get to involved with this discussion, I have more than likely never seen him shoot.

I just view it as a windup. Big dips are definitely bad but little baby ones are fine. Just my thoughts. It's an interesting discussion.

 

Not talking about you... just in general... there are 2 sides to every trade... so even if Neil is tight lipped, the other side can leak info... I’m just saying I’d be happy to hear Blazers mentioned in a rumor to show effort... because where there is smoke there is usually fire in terms of discussions at least
