    If Bird and Walker were sent down we'd see T Austin and Toe back up, better deal to me. I haven't seen Bird accomplish that much since he's been back.

    ...leadoff single by DiDi...Torres, Andujar, and Bird all swing for the fences and all 3 strike out swinging...I'll say it for the umpteenth time, guys, once you get 2 strikes on you, you gotta change your approach.

    At times I can't help but think its obvious everyone seems to be swinging for the fences regardless of count, et al.

    I know Donnie BB will never give up his Gig as a Mgr, but I'd love nothing more than to see Him back in t/Bronx as the Hitting Instructor. #23 as a hitting coach seemed like he was one of the very few Hitting Coaches, who had a direct effect on Hitter's.
    Ntm- emphasis on hitting where the balls pitched, going to the opposite field, or having the wherewithal to put "the ball where they ain't" i.e. place hitting against the shift; and simply making contact; slapping t/ball when you've got 2 strikes ....
