I love me some freaky wingspans, but there is more to size than length, like the fact Gary weighs something like 15 more lbs. He also jumps significantly higher than Khryi Thomas and is more athletic overall. Jumping almost a foot higher, imo, is a little more significant than having 2” longer arms

Might be a benefit if he were to play the 3, alongside Dame and CJ. He also gives us more size at the 2, to utilize post ups, ala Wes Matthews.

Not near the defender and being from Omaha myself, I love Khyri, but there is no reason to draft him when you drafted the younger version of him at 24. Trent Jr. completely different player and skill set. Khyri and Penny, similar, imo.

That's Jr., but it's only fair to note it's really based on high school so maybe he changed his ways in one year of college?

Sr didn't shoot "a barrage of threes." He was a low post banger.

Simons and Khyri are nothing alike. Trent is more like Anfernee, amsince neither can defend. Thomas is a lockdown defender who's bigger. Trent has average athleticism. It will never be a feather in his cap, and he doesn't play bigger than he is.

We didn't need more undersized guards that can't defend. We drafted TWO.

Don't be fooled. He has an 8'2 standing reach. Shorter than Simons, only an inch bigger than McCollums.

We're gonnause him at SF and get killed, get Nurkic into foul trouble, and it'll be a travesty.

Sounds like we just got cheaper versions of Napier and Pat C. Which is what we needed to fill in the gaps.

Why don't you let them play at least until you make such rash judgement on players. All of these players are still developing, maybe still growing and sometimes players become better pros than they were as college players.

We need to upgrade Pat C, not downgrade...

Trent doesn't sound much like Pat. Pat actually has good bball IQ and the team runs smoothly when he's in. I get the impression Trent is a tunnel-vision, me-first kind of guy.

I've watched both play a lot. You can't change athleticism and size, and that'll keep Trent from a never being an average defender.

I don't mind the Simons lick, the Trent pick is just absolutely mind-boggling.

And Pat plays bigger than he is. Can't say the same about Trent.

Yes I did he shot 40 percent from the 3 that pretty good. Thomas stats look good too. They both can shoot the 3 very well. But Trent can properly can play the 2 and maybe some 3. Thomas is a 1 and 2. We just got done drafting 1 or the 2.

What if Washington said they'd give us the 15 pick (Troy Brown) on July 7 if we took Gortat's contract with the TPE, but needed Trent however we could get him?

Pat plays like the whitest of white guys. Real scrapper, total gym rat, sneaky athletic, and he can shoot sometimes.
