If they are hamstrung financially and will miss the Lillard window and Neil and Stotts are not the answers...then it is 100% on Paul allen to see/know this. You hire a team that can build the franchise and unload people for assets and keep Simons, Trent, Collins. Even those guys who knows. You take the Sixers approach. But Neil has a boss, Paul Allen, and like all employees we do what our boss tells us. Either take the handcuffs off Neil at this point or replace him. But there isn’t a clear vision for the future of this franchise and it is up to Allen to define one and make progress towards it
Such optimism in here! We are going into year 4 so let’s see what the make up of the team looks like come Oct. Hell, by the end of this week we could be much improved player wise. Still have to go out and play the game and win. Some if these guys in here would make terrible Wolves fans or Sixerss fans! But one the winning starts it’s much easier for them. If we take a nose dive this next season, sell the team! Lol
I wasn't convinced PA would go that far over the cap for our current squad. I'm just wondering where PA and NO are taking our current squad.
You missed my whole point with your blind anger. For the record I’m not an NO supporter per say. I’m just sticking with the reality of the situation and not looking for some fantasy land answer to come to be. How do you know I don’t agree with you and just don’t care to have a temper tantrum in every thread over it when I know I don’t have an answer???? So again if he needs to go, who do you replace him with?no answer? Then shut the hell up. We’ve heard it over and over and over. It’s one thing to complain. Yet another thing to treat the rest of the forum like we are morons or some emotional wreck because we don’t agree with everything you say. You really should consider chilling out. Most intelligent people don’t go around over and over yelling and screaming we need change without having some sort of idea of what that change should be. Be smarter than this. Come up with an idea. Provide a potential solution.
Not necessarily, no. But what good is saying "Trade CJ it is the only hope" without suggesting what we should be trading him for? Some people don't think about it because as I mentioned, you probably won't get as much back for CJ as you think and certainly not anywhere closer to a championship. If anything you're going to get young players/picks instead of a all star/super star which is fine. Olshey is an issue and needs to try to fix this, yes, but he has handed out stupid contracts that it really straps us from being able to do much of anything. Trading CJ just to trade him isn't necessarily good.
The reality of the situation? So are you seriously saying there no trades out there available for CJ?? Again I am not paid to be the GM, but it’s clear as day trading CJ is the ONLY way to try and get out of purgatory... so either you are saying no one wants CJ or you are ok with Neil refusing to trade him and staying mediocre.
Really? All salaries, payrolls and contracts are available to the public. You are actually validifying my point. All the knowledge is out there but yet no one can come up with a better replacement that could take this available information and make our team better. There are members on this site that provide potential answers every day, instead of just screaming he needs to go all the time. The fact that nobody has yet to come up with a clear legit answer for an upgrade shows that it just isn’t as simple as...” fire him now!! That will make us better!!! You know what is truly silly? The concept of firing him without having a viable replacement will improve the team. You know what is silly is all the bitching about NO not having a plan, but those who want him fired.... have no plan. Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense.
As long as we are pointing fingers.. I have not liked a single move Chris McGowan has made. He fired a lot of good people, from stadium workers to upper management. Everything Chris has done was to either cut costs, or increase revenues. Some of it may have been necesary, but not all of it. From a business view, I understand why he did it. But he went too far. I do not like what the Blazers are becoming as a franchise.
You do read the posts people reply to you with right? I’m starting to think yoU don’t and you are another member who only reads what fits your narrative and then twists everything else into a pretzel.to fit your narrative. Of course there are potential trade options for CJ. That isn’t the topic of debate. Who do you trade Cj for that will actually make us a contender and still work out financially??? I Don’t give a shit if you are the gm or not. If you can’t answer the question and nobody else around here has answered the question, then what makes you think it’s such an easy solution? Again. I don’t necessarily disagree with you you, but I do know when I go shopping, I don’t just buy shit to buy shit. I wait fo a deal or only buy things I need. It’s common sense spending and planning. No matter what your position in life.
Are you new to the forum... I have posted many trades scenarios, I don’t need to repost over and over... and I don’t have access to what’s actually available, so you demanding me to have to solution that you will shoot down as unrealistic without eveidence is comical and pointless... so you either think 1) there are no deals available for CJ or 2) you are ok with Neil keeping status quo because you are ok with mediocrity... DOING THE SAME THING AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS IS INSANE, TAKE ONE OF THE DEALS AVAILABLE FOR CJ... it’s not about who is the best individual scorer in the trade, but the some of parts that will move this team forward
You left one thing out - what players are actually on the market. With a few obvious exceptions (EG Leonard), GMs don't share that info with anyone but each other. As for getting the fuck out of here.....I was chased out of here 2 years ago for daring to suggest the Blazer roster needed changes. Nostalgia brought me back, but I guess nothing has changed.
You are soooo lost on my point. You just made my pointin your own post. I highlighted it for you. You do the same thing so often in so many posts, I’ve probably skipped over the few posts you have made that actually provided a viable solution. You say you don’t need to repost over and over but that is exactly what you do. This whole things is obviously flying way over your head. I’m done with this convo now and will move on to some adult convo instead of repeated temper tantrums.
IvI' been saying this. After thr Trader Bob/Jermaine O Neil/Jail Blazer era, Paul has played it very safe and that's the problem.
Then don’t take things sooo serious. Wow. I smiled when I said get the fuck out of here. Secondly it’s not about who is available in closed rooms. If the money doesn’t work then it doesn’t work. The trade machine gets used all the time. Show me a realistic trade scenario where the finances work and you think could happen in which both teams feel they benefit and the player we get makes us a contender?
