    People forget how many americans and international hoops fans don't have a franchise ...I grew up in Iowa...we had college sports and the Globe Trotters to root for in basketball....as a young fan I followed the Pistons first as a fan....I became a Blazer fan after the military from watching Bill Walton play pickup games in San Diego at the courts I played on.....followed his career to Portland...never looked back...we have fans of the Blazers on this forum from Switzerland, Germany, China, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Brazil, England Bosnia...Taiwan..a dog kennel and those aliens from Los Angeles.all forum members....Kingspeed is right..put out an entertaining sports franchise and they will follow you. Thinking there are only 30 NBA fanbases is ridiculous by any standards...Yao Ming is the Adam Silver of Chinese basketball...you know how many Rockets fans are in China?

    No. I have inexplicably “liked” multiple posts from you today but this is vintage kingspeed. Demarcus is inured- not old, not shitty, not on the downside of his career. He is a proven 25/10 guy with a bad injury. He will be in San Francisco with a great medical staff who will make sure he is healthy in time for the home stretch when they are trying to break the 73 win mark.

    I think in ‘theory’ what you’re saying makes complete sense and no doubt they will lose fans as this continues.

    But then there is a city in China none of us have heard of with literally 12 million people and there are fifteen cities like that, and they love them some Lakers games.

    He didn’t have the best reputation as a teammate and when you add it to the fact that he’s going to be rehabbing most of next year..yeah. Not surprised. I’d still love to have him eventually, assuming he returns to form.

    I think it's more likely he didn't want to go there once it began to be speculated that Kawhi would be joining Lebron there, and George would clearly be third fiddle.
