IMO, Young pushed down hard and pulled on his Neck. He lucky all he got was a shoulder in the gut.
Young started it with a dirty ass play.

John Stockton was one of the dirtiest guards to ever play the game.

Everyone hated Danny Ainge (scrappy/dirty) too and he got the Blame for Tree Rollins biting him.
But we sure did love him here in PTown.

    Melo would start in Portland.

Melo, imho, is either going to play with one of his banana boat buddies or go back east to be near his kid. He should probably go to Philly for the vet minimum.

If that's not an indictment of this roster, I don't know what is.

    You gotta be kidding me.

I better not ever hear you complaining about officiating. Ever.

The contact starts with Poopy being in an illegal guarding position with his hands out. Then he gets dirtier from there.

    Really? That makes no sense.

Carmelo would start in Houston wouldn't he?

I'm OK with him playing 20 mpg as de facto starter. Think he'd actually be effective. We have a better system than the debacle in OKC.

Only because he would throw a huge hissy fit otherwise. At this stage of his career he is best suited to off-the-bench spark. Make him a starter and you kill team defense without enough of an improvement on offense to justify the trade off.

Would he? He gave you the same PER as Moe last year (mostly an offensive stat) but Moe had a much higher defensive rating.

lol...I only watch the short clip that someone attached. I went back and watched it again, and I didn't see where he was in a illegal guarding position? His arm and hands appeared up and yeah he fouled him for sure. You're the ref so I'll respect your call.
I think the ref got it right in both got T'd up and a foul was committed.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of either just calling it the way I saw it...

Probably because of the name but I think there is a good chance they’re better with Tucker on the floor then with Melo. He’d probably start though.

Having your arms straight out toward the offense is illegal.

I’m not a ref so it doesn’t matter but I would’ve probably called a flagrant one on Allen. I can kind of see calling a tech on Young for sort of throwing Allen off him, but Allen was the one who caused it and put young in a really awkward position so I don’t think he deserved the tech.

Ref...you know I googled the action and saw the whole play up to the incident. I completely change my call, Allen wrapped his arm up and pushed.
Agree, probably sqhpudnt have been a double tech.
I was to quick to judge from a short clip which I advocate against.
