Small ball is here to stay.

It’s not even small ball, really, when you have 7 footers stretching the floor.

I’d just call it efficient ball.

    It's also archetype. Not stereotype.

All of them can shoot threes. Even Mo Bamba.

Lots of people, in their careers, trade a certain amount of money for a certain amount of happiness. I'm one of those people, so I totally get it.

With so many teams having space in 2019.
This is a good deal by NO getting Nurk locked up.
100% if Nurk hit ufa in 2019 he would've got an Allen Crabbe type offer and Portland would've had to make a decision.

Well, if he was a UFA we wouldn't have had a decision to make. He'd be gone.

You might have a point but but I think the bigs coming up are gonna be closer to 60-65% because they will dominate inside. I like expanding the court by say two feet on each side and then moving the 3pt shot out 1 foot.

I never said that. At all. I’m saying the game is rapidly going more and more towards versatile bigs who can shoot. I never said there was no place for him. It’s jusy the reason why we were able to sign him for that contract

Right and what do kat and embiid do that nurk can’t do? Shoot the three. I’m not saying nurk is worthless because of this. All I said is that is why we were able to get him on a decent contract and that eventually, years down the line I think the plodding center will die out in the league.

Oh so now Neil is fantastic because he got a player on a good contract for once? Because he got lucky with a trade? Like any of you knew nurk would be that good that quick. I never talked defensively, yes nurk helps the team immensely on the defensive end. That wasn’t the point but I see a lot of people here have gotten really upset about this opinion lol. You will see. Give it time

It’s not really irony. You’re grasping at straws just to be lame. That’s fine. I’m sure that gets you far in life

I forgot how obsessed the fans were with nurk because “he’s just like sabonis omg”. Let’s not forget he can’t finish well at the rim either. The same guys taking up nurk and are obsessed with him are the same ones coming up with dame trade ideas but hey it is what it is. It’s not hard to see where the game is headed. There are reasons other centers like nurk didn’t really get paid as much. Nerlens Noel for example. Bigs are going to have to be mobile and versatile on the offensive end. I’m not saying nurks bad calm down. He’s a decent center. For now

I just forgot how bipolar blazer fans were. Now all of a sudden people are coming at Neil’s defense for this one contract. Anybody wanna talk about the summer of 2016? Letting go of ed Davis and his explanation behind that? It’s funny to me.

I have often dreamed about that. I just don't think it will ever happen; most arenas it just wouldn't be possible. Although what if they put the team benches under the baskets?

Calling someone an idiot when you can’t spell isn’t irony?

Please check the definition of irony, amigo.

    ??????????

I never said Nurk was trash, I said he is a dying breed of centers in the league. This isn't hard to understand. And yes the contract is good and I said the reason for that was because his style of play and that if he had a three ball, his value would of raised tremendously. That's all
