I always feel that the English are our closest buddies so I'm always happy to see them reach the top in anything. I guess the Canadians are tied in that category, or at least I had always thought that way until Trump came along.

    Well, fuck.

At least we won't have to lose on penalties.

That backward header pass was incredible. As was watching four England defenders all react to it simultaneously a half-second late.

I’m rooting for Croatia in the final... France really turned me off the last two games.

England shouldn’t feel terrible, their future is so bright. It’s just that Croatia has great seasoned grizzled vets, at top form at the peaks of their primes, and some at the ends.

If I'm honest, England didn't deserve to get as far as they did. It was luck, and they never looked particularly inspired doing it. Croatia were certainly better. It's frustrating that England can't produce world class players (like Modric, who is probably player of the tournament - he reminds me of Hagi for Romania in the '90s). Don't give me Harry Fucking Kane - I want a Pirlo or an Iniesta... or a Modric. Closest in my lifetime was probably Paul Scholes and he just didn't play his best for England. Our best player was almost certainly Jordan Pickford, the goalie.

Still, we won the 2017 U-20 World Cup, so maybe there'll be someone in the next generation.

Woah, woah, woah now fella... take that Frenchman’s wave and get on! Lol jk

I don’t mind France. Pogba, Kante, and Griezmann are awesome. It’s just that Mbappe’s flopping really upset me, and the excessive time wasting yesterday.

Plus I feel like France will win another WC in 2022 because they are all perfect age for it. Croatia is a last ride for most their stars, plus underdog story is amazing. Second smallest country to reach the final.

I feel that Enland's youth is why they progressed so far in this World Cup, and also the reason they lost against Croatia.

I think Pogba has been average this World Cup, not bad, but not great. Kante has been immense! If France win (which I think they will) he should win the Golden Ball. I haven't been impressed with Griezmann, he's been so lazy with his defensive duties.
