Tor can offer more money than any other place he goes next season, hating being in San Antonio doesn’t mean he will take another pay cut (50 mil) next summer to leave again, in fact I would guess it helps that he stays.

The leap is an example... I didnt say there was a grudge with SA and the rest of the West. Do you always do this? Read one thing and decipher it as something completely different?????

Im done conversing with you for now, because you read one thing and say another thing that doesn't match what you read. Good luck with your conversations.

Why do you keep saying $50 million? Do you not understand the CBA?

Pop got really heated years ago when Pau Gasol was traded to the Lakers from the Grizzlies for his chubby baby brother....thought the league was wrong to allow super teams and ignore parity between the east and west...it's an old story..since, he's said he doesn't believe in trading his good players in the west....the rest is history...at the time Pau was the franchise player for the Grizz and it pretty much gutted their franchise until baby Gasol grew up and became a decent player

The answer to the OP? Yes. After discussing with a few of you here I whole heartedly think he thinks you are an idiot. Its been proven by the comprehension levels of some members here in this thread alone...

For that matter I agree with him. There are some idiots here. Idiots that don't listen, read what they want, and twist anything around to fit their narrative, no matter how much bullshit they are flinging around....

The problem is, idiots are never smart enough to know they are idiots, they just keep going on and on thinking they know it all and demean others that explain where their errors are.

I act like a child around here at times to start shit when I'm bored, but I do believe there are some actual children here.

Lets break this down so you can understand it:

How much can the Lakers offer?

I was merely expanding on your superb assessment and providing a bit of depth into the reasoning is all. :)

but the Spurs could have offered 5/224. If it really was about the money he would have stayed with the spurs.

Okay good, so the Raptors can offer $49 million more for the total length of the contract right?

What can LA offer him after 4 years when they'd have his full bird rights?

OP: Yes, not actually unintelligent, but when it comes to the inner workings of the NBA, yes, idiots.

I’m saying what makes everyone assume he’s gonna give up 1 extra year and 49 mil to leave Tor just because he desperately wanted out of San Antonio. That’s a lot of cash to give up to leave a place he might like, he would also be 30-31 in that year 5 so who knows if he will even be the same player, assuming he will turn down money/security twice is a stretch imo

Oh god, no! One of the worst stats ever invented. It rewards guys who can't shoot FTs, and therefore, penalizes guys who can.

Ask yourself this, who is a better shooter, DeAndre Jordan or Steph Curry?

    DeAndre Jordan: Career eFG% = .673
    Steph Curry: Career eFG% = .578

Even Steph's best season, the year he shot .504/.454/.908, one of the best shooting seasons in the history of the NBA, falls far short, in terms of eFG% (.630) compared to DeAndre Jordan's career average.

DeAndre Jordan has led the league in eFG% five times. Steph Curry has never led the league in eFG%. Yet, it's Steph that is considered on of the greatest shooters in the history of the game.

I look at shooting percentages to determine who's a better shooter. eFG% gets that wrong more times than it gets it right. To me, it's less than useless, it's misleading.

Oh cool hypotheticals, so hypothetically he stays perfectly healthy and is the same player at 30-31. Gtfo

Not a lot of people in the world are gonna turn down that much money 2 years in a row at 2 different places but whatever makes you believe in Neil. I’ll be waiting for the apology message and your statement on how much Neil sucks after the TPE expires, you said you would.

And exactly what didn’t I understand about the CBA, I said he was passing on a guaranteed 50 extra mil to leave(it’s 49) so what was I confused about? What might happen in the future 5 seasons from now? Lol

And you accuse others of making leaps and changing the discussion? HA HA HA

Since you can't answer the number is projected to be $44,761,500. So he'd be turning down about $4 million over 5 years to leave Toronto. Yeah, I'm sure that will get him to stay somewhere he doesn't want to be.

Besides stars don't think like that anymore (except for Dame which is why I admire him and don't want to trade him). What makes you think Kawhi would even want to take a 5 year deal when he could take a shorter deal and get to the 10+ years of service line faster and make 35% of a higher cap in a couple years. Talking about a 5 year deal in comparison to a 4 year deal for a star player is completely ignoring what that player would make in the 5th year on another team. The only way he would accept a 5 year deal for $190 million to stay somewhere he doesn't want to be is if he is truly hurt in a career threatening way in which case why would Toronto or Portland or anyone else offer him $190 million? This is why you aren't making any sense.

This discussion has nothing to do with the TPE either.
