Red Sox are proving to be the better team. As a group this lineup can't seem to get it going and the starting pitching as it stands now is an issue.
Even though team got better after a 9-9 start, starting pitching was always a problem, but what really put doubts into this team was the inconsistencies occurring with the bullpen players. Then the problems with RISP became a magnifying problem, and now these Yankees are comfortably not threatening for a division title.....being 6 games out.
Yankee management cannot be pleased with Gary Sanchez. That horrendous passed ball was one thing, but not running out a ground ball is unforgivable! No one loss should be pointed at one ballplayer, but this game put Sanchez under the microscope.

Sanchez should be fined by the organization for not one but TWO lazy plays and then Cashman should be on the phone with all teams in the majors looking to trade him. I feel like he’s going to become a toxic person in the clubhouse soon. Passed balls happen (to him more than any other catcher it seems like) but to lazily chase after it and allow a run to score and then to mouth off and get into an argument in the dugout when you clearly fucked up is disgraceful. He can’t man up to his mistake. Then bases loaded bottom of ninth and he half speeds it up the line. Seriously??? Trade him now before it gets worse and his head no longer even fits in the clubhouse door.
1. Boone should have benched Sanchez after that 1st inning play. 2. Boone should not have called for DiDi to bunt and should have foreseen the red hot Stanton being immediately being intentionally walked. 3. Sanchez has 10 PBs...Romine and Higgy have 1 combined.
