I'm glad they didn't give up a young starter for him.

Just saw on Yahoo Sports per Rosenthal Drury & Mc Kinney to Toronto for Happ. I really don't know how much he'll bring, the man is 35 years old. The I know so are Verlamder & Morton but they reside close to Doctor Clemens.

Two positives for the Happ trade: he usually plays well against Boston the past couple of seasons and he regularly pitches 5 or more innings with each game started.

...I will admit that I have a more confidence in Happ than German or Cessa or Lasagna.

...in order for me to eat one of those sumbitches, I'd have to have a tequila (Patron) chaser.

...with Judge and Sanchez out of the lineup for awhile will possibly seek to find another bat to help fill the offensive void left by the 2 DL casualties.

You can’t really replace Judge, and we already have Walker to fill in for Sanchez’ woeful hitting hahaha.

This is where one feels for Frazier, kid wanted more playing time but because of concussion issues he is unable to play. Per "Quick Pitch" this AM the Yankees will seek another bat. With Cashman doing the looking I'm afraid of what he will find.

...oh, I know we cannot realistically replace Judge's production and though Sanchez has had an off year so far, we could use another RHed bat to help fill in the gap, at least for the next month or so...and it does not necessarily have to be a power bat, in fact, I'd rather have a good contact hitter who gets on base at a good clip...but Cashman would have to get very imaginative to pull something like this off.
...I think we still have about 9-10 games with Boston so winning the division is still possible but I think we'll also need some help. Boston has also but very lucky in quite a few game and they have also not really been bit with the injury bug...so far.

Absolutely. Happ is a good veteran who does well against boston, eats innings although with britton added may not have to and should get rejuvenated jumping to the first place yanks and the better defense and offense he will reap the benefit of. Drury got wally pipped by andujar and mckinney is on his 4th team and no chance of ever playing on the varsity. Also, removes and opens 2 more 40 man spots for young prospects that can now be protected. Very smart of cashman to do that as a lot of our prospects will be prey for that god damn rule 5. Now is the time to remove some excess triple a players from 40 man roster to do this that do not figure in the yanks plans going forward. They are absolutely loaded in the A league and some big time arms in double A as well.

...yup, that has to be a HUGE consideration. If there's a good possibility that we'll lose them we might as well get something for them while they still have value.

and here I thought Happ flunked the Auditon, but as 59 Noted, I'd rather see a Vet than a rookie trying to find his groove the hard way....
