It may be Butler or Bust, in which case it's likely to be Bust.

You know what I want if Minnesota would do it - is figure out a way to do CJ and Collins for KAT - I’m sure they’d have to give some bad contracts up to make that work. Put KAT at PF with Nurkic at Center that seems like a good front court to me.

C.J McCollum for Andrew Wiggins + a first round draft pick works.

Yes they would but, Thibs is a Butler guy so I wouldn’t be surprised if he chooses Butler over KAT. I realize this isn’t going to happen, but I can still want it too lol.

I’d rather have CJ, the only big advantage Wiggins has is 3 inches (that’s what she said).
Just don’t think Wiggins would be an upgrade, and I don’t think the draft pick will be very high.

Man... where's the Kahn-man when WE need him[IMG] [IMG]

IF he were still around... we could get KAT PLUS Butler for Mild LeoTARD alone!:smiley-yell:[IMG] [IMG]

I don't understand why trading CJ for a good forward "balances" the roster. You want great players at EVERY position. Would it have "balanced the roster" to trade Klay Thompson for Kevin Love?

They traded Monta for Bogut so Klay could start. Thus..... balancing the roster.

    We don't have said Klay....

And let's not let one decent summer league fool us into thinking Baldwin is a starter. He needs to come off the bench IMO.

I’m not saying he’s there yet or even ever will be, but Trent Jr., is kind of similar to Klay coming out of college. Their Draft scouting comparisons were similar.

We don't have a Klay to replace CJ. Klay was an upgrade.

Or if we trade CJ we gotta do better than Wiggins.

I wonder what Wiggins and 2 1st round picks could bring back compared to CJ and 1 1st rounder? Wiggins is only 23 and is locked up for 5 more years albeit at an astronomical rate. I just wonder if there is a team out there that would think they could fix him.

    What about this:
    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y99vfpn3

Blazers get Z-Bo (expiring), Iman Shumpert (expiring), Kostas Koufos (expiring), Buddy Hield, and Willie Cauley-Stein

Wolves get CJ, Evan Turner, and Deyonta Davis

Kings get Andrew Wiggins, Meyers Leonard, and Gorgui Dieng

Who says no? Would there have to be picks involved? The Blazers save over $14 million this season putting them below the luxury tax line. It also gets rid of over $52.5 million in contracts for next season (minus if WCS re-signs). I don't necessarily like the amount of talent coming back for CJ but it would basically reset our whole financial situation. Hield still has potential and I think would fit well with Dame. A WCS/Collins big man duo off the bench would be pretty solid too. Is getting that little for CJ worth getting rid of Turner and Leonard? Would the Kings owner sign off on trading Hield?

Smart ales answer : Neil because would say no too much paper work! - I’m kidding -
This is an interesting trade proposal. It helps the Blazers cap a lot it would be Buddy’s 3rd team already that would be a bit scary but he’s on his rookie contract so it’s not a huge cap problem.
