Aside from the slew of candidates who will vie for the democractic nomination to take on Trump ( should he still be in office...he probably will be) there lies the possibility that Trump may have to face a republican(s) in a primary battle. Such a move has not taken place against an incumbent since elder Bush was challenged in 1992 by Pat Buchanan. Will Trump be challenged in a republican primary in 2020? John Kasich? Mitt Romney? Ted Cruz? Marco Rubio? Jeff Flake? Ben Sasse? Someone else?
Flake and Kasich are not really Republicans, nor do Republicans care much for them. They are swamprats and anti-Americans, in the vein of John McCain. But I think you'll have a different Trump running in 2020, and winning easily. I see no American who can make a race against the results so far.
I'd guess a republican like Romney just might be challenging Mike Pence in 2020...I think Kasich was talking about running as an independent. Lot of republicans are going to switch to independent status. Divorce court govt doesn't work. Cruz, Rubio, Flake probably don't stand a chance...Trump has already belittled them without getting much flak back about it. I'd vote for Mueller if he ran about now..he seems to be the adult in the room so far.
