You can't fuck around on here any longer. You used to be able to, but now you just get attacked immediately and get called a victim if you say anything back

As 20 year old rookies Lopez shot better from 2 pts % and at the FT line. Lopez is not a 3 or shooter.

You hope the 10th pick in a loaded draft will be a shit ton better offensive player than Robin freakin' Lopez, but why would some be expected to think that now?

The NBA is changing because of the warriors. So too does the S2 game change.

Yeah, of course. At least more versatile. (I was just teasing about using the per 36 in this case.) ALTHOUGH, I can't see him making a huge leap this season in efficiency. An efficient 14 was the original discussion and while I joke, it does seem crazy presumptuous to think that a guy that often looks lost on offense and shot 40% from the field and 31% from 3 is going to be efficient any time soon.

So a guy who still can't buy a beer, played one year of college ball, and was being asked to play the 4 spot when all he's played before was 5, looked a little lost on the offensive end in his first year in the NBA? Surprising.

It will take a few years for Collins to develop an impactful offensive game. I see him being a 12-15 ppg, 10-12 boards, 2-3 bspg. His signature will be his rim protection.

Dirks, rookie year he shot / FG .405%/3pt .206%
He made the big leap his second year.

    I shouldn't've waded into this.......

Dirk?!? You can't compare the two, man. Right now he's like Spencer Hawes or something. Or not even.

And I'm sure the offense will come, with bulk, and time. But the point is: we are fucked. We need production and he's not ready. At least that's my point.

I was only bringing Dirk as his 1st year at 20mpg stats sucked. I don't they are are the same type of players at all, Dirk want known as a defensive much at all, where I think that Collins future.

I think it's very possible that Collins won't manage that, but still be a good pick. I see him ending up as our Nick Collison. Did Collison ever do that? What about Steven Adams? Or Joakim Noah? All very solid players. Collins is a very good defensive player, and that makes him extra valuable to a team that has two sub-standard defenders as its best two players.

Does he look like a natural on the offensive end? I don't see it:

I'll give you this. It is not easy for a big man, especially off the bench to average 14 points, especially on a team where most of the offense comes through the guards.

Collins is going to be good. Better than Lopez.

I fuck around on here all the time. When its funny its funny when its not its not.

Wow, you just played the victim card about being called a victim. Man, you're good at that. I guess practice really does makes perfect.

No one attacked him - not once. His opinion and his post were both challenged, but the closest anyone came to "attacking" him was calling his opinion silly - and even he admitted he was "fucking around" (a.k.a. being silly).

Yeah, that was my post. I didn't mean to imply he'd be an efficient 14 ppg scorer this year, or even next. I meant that's what I see as his eventual ceiling for this team in this system.

I do expect significant improvement with an increased role, increased PT and increased confidence, but he's still going to struggle to achieve any kind of consistency offensively this season.

I'm fine with that. We're not catching GSW this year (no one is). So, use it to develop guys like Collins and Nurk (and even Baldwin and Trent Jr.).

Collison has never even averaged double digits. Noah topped out at 12.6ppg. Adams came really close last year, his 5th season in the league and 4th as a full time starter, at 13.9 ppg. Adams is also a good defender, but not a great shot blocker. OKC thought he was valuable enough to give him a $100 million contract after his 3rd season when he averaged 8.0 ppg, 6.7 rpg and 1.1 bpg as a full time starter. I could see Collins putting up those kind of numbers (possibly better) during his third season.
