Oh, Presidents most certainly can be indicted. First of all, there's Ken Starr's memo on the matter - https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/22/us/politics/can-president-be-indicted-kenneth-starr-memo.html Then, there's the Supreme Court's ruling in May 1997 that the Paula Jones case could proceed - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_of_Bill_Clinton Last, you are basing your statement, I presume, on a Justice Department decision which has not been tested in court.
Don't get my hopes up. I would love to see a good Republican take the party back to it's Conservative roots.

Not to conservative, maybe a solid libertarian. This country needs a serious 3rd party, imo. Everything needs balance and right now the extremist on both sides are taking this country down. Maybe the State of Oregon can lead the way for the left coast?
The problem with a third party is that it will certainly cost one candidate an eventual win by denying him the votes that he would have gotten. To solve this problem, you'd have to schedule another election pitting the top two in the previous election and even then there could be foul ups. With two parties, you're going to leave some voters virtually out of participation because they disagree with the two major candidates but I'm afraid that's the best we can do.
