Hopefully Dame & CJ can recruit him then.

The creep will probably get off with a slap on the wrist. Assuming he’s guilty, I’d like to see his ass behind bars for awhile.

It’s not true though. He has two years and the third year is a player option which he will almost certainly decline as he will be eligible for more than $28.75million he would be set to make.

Pelicans could easily need to trade him this season. If they don’t start well, and who knows how good they are going to be without Cousins and Rondo, they could be in a position where it’s better to take Ingram, Kuzma and something more or Jaylen Brown and a few good picks (Grizzlies, Kings) rather than crawl back into mediocrity - especially if AD wants that trade to happen (and he could grow frustrated with the franchise eventually).

I don’t think Lakers would move for him before 2019 free agency though, they will want to spend their max player cap room and could then take Davis via trade somehow. Boston however would very much want the trade now and they would probably make Brown available - I doubt they would be willing to trade Tatum at all, Hayward I don’t know about and Irving and Horford don’t have that much value for different reasons (Kyrie’s length of contract, Horford’s age).

So what team could offer the most for Davis? I'm tired of everyone assuming it's Boston or LA, so bonus points if it's neither of those.

Orlando could offer Aaron Gordon plus Mo Bamba....

The super stars can demand where they want to go. All it takes is AD saying "I won't sign an extension with Charlotte" or whatever and said team suddenly gets cold feet.

There's a reason Lebron isn't worried about getting his two other stars this season. He knows just the Lakers name is enough to get other stars there. AD is going to be a Laker lol.

Of course the Pelicans could trade him this year, but there certainly isn't any pressure to do so right away. Don't forget that Davis is in line to get a supermax deal, but only if he stays with the team that drafted him. I think it's a lot more likely that he sticks in New Orleans at least until he gets his pay raise. Ingram and Kuzma are good players, but no way that they're worth Anthony Davis.

This story is exactly like the ones rumoring Dame to LA. Laker fans, and Laker-loving media, like to think and read about getting prime players for scraps. That sense of entitlement pisses me off.

The Lakers could potentially make it work to where they traded for Davis and still had enough for a max contract this summer. The rest of the roster would be almost all minimum salary guys but can you imagine a team with LeBron, Kawhi, and AD on it? Throw in Josh Hart and a bunch of ring chasers and that team is better than the Warriors potentially.

Boston and LA are the teams so often mentioned because they still have the best stockpile of assets in trades. Orlando can't trade Gordon until Jan 15th but I doubt AD is moved before then anyway. There are other teams that came to mind though:

Phoenix has a bunch of young players and picks.

Philly acquired the Miami 2021 unprotected 1st round pick this summer and has all their own future picks as well. A Simmons, Embiid, AD front court would be sick.
