AD to Boston is my best guess.

Knowing how the last couple years have gone, AD to GS for Jordan bell, and the salary cap stuff will just magically work out... *shrugs*

This is what’s been going around the last year, that Boston is gonna make a run at AD and they have all the assets to do it. Would be a scary team.

Just makes sense too. The have one extra wing and need a PF.

Salary matching would be tough but I think something like this would work out very well for both teams.

BOS Gets: Anthony Davis, Elfrid Payton, Darius Miller
NOP Gets: Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Markeiff Morris, Terry Rozier, 2019 SAC 1st, 2019 MEM 1st, 2019 BOS 1st

New Orleans could then turn around and shop Jrue Holiday. Pheonix would probably be the team to trade for him.

PHX Gets: Jrue Holiday, Nikola Mirotic
NOP Gets: Ryan Anderson, Trevor Ariza, 2019 PHX 1st, 2021 PHX 1st

    Boston:
    Irving (20) / Payton (28)
    Hayward (33) / Irving (15)
    Tatum (28) / Miller (20)
    Davis (36) / Tatum (8) / Horford (4)
    Horford (28) / Baynes (20)

    Pheonix:
    Holiday (35) / Melton+Okobo (13)
    Booker (35) / Bridges (13)
    Jackson (32) / Bridges (16)
    Mirotic (24) / Warren (24)
    Chandler (20) / Holmes (20) / Mirotic (8)

While New Orleans would have Five 2019 1sts (SAC, MEM, NOP, PHX, BOS), Pheonix's 2021 1st, Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier, and Julius Randle. Would be a very good situation for them.

    Phoenix doesn't have Miami's 2021 1st anymore, Philly does.

It seems premature for NOP to blow it up. No one of consequence on that team is older than 28 and they just had their best season in 10 years. Davis is just 25, and as crazy as it sounds, probably hasn't even entered his prime, yet. They have him locked up for two more years and will have the option to give him a super max extension before his current contract expires:

"Anthony Davis will now be super max eligible in 2019 for a 5-year deal that would start in 2020 & projects to be worth $230 million, which would be the largest contract in NBA history."

He actually doesn't seem unhappy in New Orleans. He certainly hasn't been a malcontent. So, I don't think it's a given he starts demanding a trade and walks away from the largest contract in NBA history.

I feel like this post could be changed to Dame / Por in a lot of ways except the playoff success. However I am of the opinion that if the results in the post season is another sweep it’s time to make some significant changes around Dame.

Please no. Until Dame starts winning his playoff head-to-heads, it would be premature to include him in discussions of the biggest contracts in NBA history. (I assume you were referring largely to happiness and team loyalty, though.) The Houston series and a hobbled Beverly was a long time ago... Dame needs to prove he's not the Abdur-Rahim of point guards.

He’s had more playoff success than Davis has. This year was a terrible playoff performance, I bet he would even say that.
Sure they need to be successful but he also needs much better talent around him if he’s ever going to get very far.

Yeah, I absolutely believe he said to Magic: "y'know Magic - I know you've guaranteed you're going to get two stars this year, but just cool it. I'm only 34 in December with more miles on me than any other 34 year old player ever, so there's no rush."

You know that thing where they have "future rankings" of the teams based on what they're expected to be in the future? The Lakers should perpetually be "the best team in the league next year".
Shame it's never this year, isn't it?

Gee, I guess Paul George always wanted to go to Oklahoma, and Kawhi really wanted to go to Toronto.

Why does NOP do that? Where's DeAndre Ayton?

Well, we can always give the Lakers M. Leonard as a consolation prize. He’s only two alphabet spots behind Kawhi.

Well to my knowledge Kawhi hasn't signed the extension. But fair points.

Dame needs to do a lot more than prove he's not the Abdur-Rahim of PGs - he needs to prove he IS the Lebron of PGs if there's any "biggest contract" talk attached to him (or any other player).
