Cleveland got crucified for appeasing Kyrie's demands and giving him up for what turned out to be very little value. Granted he had a year longer on his deal at the time than Butler, but there are a lot of parallels. If I were Minny, I'd try like hell to keep him. That 190 mil deal will help in this regard in 10 months.
It seems like we would have to give up CJ or Collins in a deal, and to tell the truth I would rather give up CJ. Collins is a lot cheaper and we will need that if we sign Butler to a max contract. And also we deeper at CJ's position and also Collins has at least a chance of becoming a good offensive player but I don't think CJ ever has a chance to become a good defensive player.
Terry is a fine (not great, not bad) regular season coach - that's it. He relies on probability over the course of an 82-game season to end up with more wins than losses. It's the probability that two really damn good shooters will, over the course of 82 games, hit enough 3-pointers to end up with a winning record. That doesn't work in the Playoffs where small sample sizes rule and you can't wait for the law of averages to play in your favor. When it comes to actual in-game coaching, Terry is below average.
My mother who lives with me and I take care of has dementia. I just rushed her to the hospital three days ago. I'll say whatever the fuck I want cat.
Yeah. Admitting you’re trading someone, or openly seeking, doesn’t exactly help obtain top value. See: Kylie Irving trade. Butler has already hurt his value by seeking a trade.
I just have never been a fan of his. Don't think he is a #1 player on a team. Definitely a fantastic #2. But he seems to bump heads with ALOT of teammates wherever he goes.
Sorry for your mother. It definitely is hard when you have to care for someone with any range of disabilities. Doesnt make it ok to make that assumption about someone else.
I'm having a nice conversation with @Boob-No-More anyone can join. But this comment you made is not a way to join.
One major difference - KAT has said he will not sign his extension with Butler on the team. So who would you choose to keep happy - Butler or KAT?
I think the Kyrie trade is still dependent on how good Collin Sexton will be despite how crappy the rest of it turned out being. That pick had tremendous value before the season started and still had decent value at the trade deadline. If Sexton doesn't become a star then their biggest mistake would be to not have traded the pick instead of the actual Kyrie trade.
Zach Lowe goes through several possible trade scenarios for Butler. Basically says the Blazers don't get in the door without offering CJ. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...de-market-minnesota-timberwolves-jimmy-butler I would counter that Turner/Aminu/Collins for Butler/Dieng saves Minny a lot of money, gives them a good young prospect that pairs nicely with KAT, and gives them 3 excellent defensive players to help Thibs not suffer too badly in the deal. But I'm not a national NBA writer, so what do I know?
Zach Lowe's take on Portland trading for Butler: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...de-market-minnesota-timberwolves-jimmy-butler I'd say that's pretty much spot on. Are you Butler-maniacs all-in on him enough that you'd be willing to chance trading Dame and beginning a total rebuild if he bolts after one year?
Maybe I don't enjoy And am in fact repulsed By stumbling into Reading stanza-like posts With psuedo-expert takes That invariably lead to micromanaging Any concrete statements from others Yet provide nothing of substance Themselves. I and anyone should be entitled to say whatever they want. What.Ever.
