Damn! You buttheads swiped Flaco and Mayfield. I was hoping to get 1 of them via a waiver claim.

There's ties in The NFL, too. Using an arbitrary section of points makes no sense. Why not use non-QB points?

Y'all argued FOR ties in the 1st season of the league.

Yeah, and its stupid in the NFL also. They should go with the college overtime rules and play until someone wins.
Isn't non-QB points just as "arbitrary"? QB points or non-QB points - doesnt matter - either option is better than a tie. I think QB points would be best since this is a two QB league making that position the most important.

That's exactly my point. Anything you choose is arbitrary.

Y'all said y'all wanted ties in year 1. That's what I'm operating off of. They tied. Why is a tie "stupid" when they tied...?

Because a tie is a waste of y'all's time. Why play if there isn't a winner or a loser? That's the essence of sports.
Change it for next year or else I will karate chop you in the nuts. :smiley-domi71b2:

I disagree. If you play the game and end up at the same score than neither team proved themselves to be better. The draw is deserved.

edit: for the record I’ll play no matter what decisions you guys make in regards to Ties.
I understand they can be frustrating. I just dont like how they play the game under a certain set of rules, dont differentiate themselves on the scoreboard then determine the winner based off different rules. Its entertaining sure, but overall Id rather games are decided based on the regular rules of the sport not on a completely different set of rules in over time.

One conceivable tie-breaker (if people actually wanted one, which doesn't really seem like the case) could be "fewest points left on the bench"--that way it's a reflection of a person's skill (luck) in choosing their starters for that week.

I edited my above post. I could deal with any rule set as long as its fair for everyone. I dont think there is a solution out there that I would “love”.
Thats the thing about playing 48 or 60 minutes and arriving at the same score though, both sodes will be frustrated.

I like the idea, but that probably wouldn't work because of bye weeks.

...fractional point scoring usually solves all potential ties -- that's the best way IMHO
