Not sure this story is all true. Even if the quotes are correct.

I would take it all with a grain of salt.

Jimmy does seem motivated to win at all costs this season. We could use some more of that swagger.

If Dame is still on board then so are we.

Olshey should be all over trying to acquire Jimmy. I'm one of the few here who thinks Neil has done a pretty good job but if he's not even looking at Jimmy, he should go. We have to look to make our team better and take risks doing it. We have a top 10 player here who's value has plummeted. It's time to buy low and have Dame recruit him for the year so he can stay the same way Paul George did with OKC.

I read the article; sounded more like trash talking and taunting than bullying. He doesn't want to be with the team; he may think that KAT and Wiggins have badtalked him behind his back, he probably only came because he was threatened with a fine; so he struck back by being late, beating the first team with the scrubs and setting up an interview afterwards. I'm OK with all of it. https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-ka...jimmy-butlers-practice-insults-220611226.html

Olshey is risk-averse and almost everything about this situation would be risky. Olshey might've inquired about Paul George and Melo, but I think he stays far, far away from Jimmy Butler. Dude shouted at the GM today, shouted at his coach, at his teammates, then went and did an interview in which he was like "I just love the game so much." I've never even heard of anything like this happening before. He seems legitimately crazy. I mean, I'm now scared of him.

I’ve seen Kobe yell at his coach, and his teammates, and his GM. Maybe it’s just what makes these guys great players. I wouldn’t mind having that type of personality because I know he wouldn’t let any shit slide, and a guy like Dame is smart enough to not take it personal. Dame is an alpha as well, but he’s a little bit different. He’s more about empowering teammates. Butler will get in your face, and someone who hasn’t experienced something like that, might take it personal. But I think Dame and Butler would balance each other out.

I’m tired of guys like Draymond yapping, or the Pelicans literally laughing in our players faces, and getting away with it.

I get it, and it'd take me about 8 seconds to get over my hesitancy, but trying to imagine Olshey taking a chance on Butler? I just can't make myself do it. I see zero probability.

Oh, I agree there. No way would he consider it.

At one point, Butler found himself guarding Towns in the post and when the big man received the entry pass, Butler yelled, “He can’t do [expletive] against me!” and Towns ended up kicking the ball out, league sources said.
Wouldn't be nice to have a guy do that to Leonard?

Well I do love his passion, but at times it has been detrimental to his team. I would not trade CJ for him. But maybe Dame and CJ together could keep him happy. The question is once he gets "paid" will he get worse or better with these antics? Would he get bored in Portland and seek attention? I still think he is what we need, but again I would not give up CJ.

If you are scared of him; you should have seen me in downtown Spokane yesterday profanely yelling at hospital staff because they wouldn't give a wheelchair to me for a lady who has brain cancer and is losing all her strength. And I don't think I'm crazy!

Jimmy Butler is great on the court, off the court, that is another question. He might be the Terrell Owens (TO) "Team Obliterater" of this basketball generation.

I watch this video of Jimmy Butler saying he wants to win and he is sorry if he goes about it the wrong way or whatever...But the word is he wants to be traded to the Clippers or the Nets?!? Those ain't winning situations. Portland on the other hand...

Honestly I wouldnt want Butler as the star of my team or face of the franchise. He’s a me first guy. However in Portland even with as good as Jimmy is, it would be Dames team. So I wouldnt be too worried.
I wish NO would go get him, and take a risk.

Yeah that part of his interview came off as phony to me. If winning is as important to you as you claim, then why the fuck are your preferred destinations perennial losers?

Yeah. I, too, would’ve hated having Michael Jordan in his prime. Well documented that he made life for his teammates a living hell and was quite the sourpuss.

I didn’t care about Jimmy UNTIL this episode today. He’s exactly what we, and about 27 other teams, need.

Someone with a set of balls - which clearly weren’t present vs the Pelicans last year.

Can't believe you guys wanted to trade my boy CJ for this asshole.
He's not loyal, bad at communicating , health is unstable and he's only getting older, never even made it out of the 2nd round in the east...WHERE DOES HE GET THE BALLS?

Shades of a less talented Kobe Bryant. I'd be surprised if Riley would want to contaminate Heat culture with this parasite on board.

And boy, Look at Chicago now, they made one of the best moves in franchise history when they traded him.

You can't fool our used-car-salesman-GM into the "Butler Scam":oldman:
