A number of practitioners and supporters of alternative medicine oppose Barrett and Quackwatch for its criticism of alternative medicine.[27][31] Donna Ladd, a journalist with The Village Voice, says Barrett relies mostly on negative research to criticize alternative medicine, rejecting most positive case studies as unreliable due to methodological flaws. She further writes that Barrett insists that most alternative therapies simply should be disregarded without further research. "A lot of things don't need to be tested [because] they simply don't make any sense," he says, pointing to homeopathy, chiropractic, and acupuncture as examples of alternative treatments with no plausible mechanism of action.

All of this has been seriously debunked. You're not easily fooled, are you? Do you avoid fluorine which everybody knows poisons our precious bodily fluids?

There are two kinds of flu shots. Those at most risk of dangerous affects from the flu get a stronger shot than the regular shot

All U.S. military Veterans get free flu shots. All you need to do is go to any VA health clinic or VA hospital during the flu season and request one. You might need to get a VA I.D. card first, which are also free. I've even gotten some of mine at Camp Rilea on the North Oregon coast.

Every bit of the OP is 100% verified fact.

Nothing in it has ever been "de-bunked", as Federal Law requires ingredients to be revealed.

The dangers and toxicities of these poisons are indisputable and have been proven fact for decades.

It is tiring when you just post lies because you're TFL to educate yourself.

And yes, of course I avoid poisoning myself as much as is practical in today's poison-filled society.

I'm getting one next Thursday. I think it's the responsible thing to do regardless of what @MARIS61 says. :)

I have never been vaccinated with/for influenza.

Last time I got the flu was in the early 80's, when my kids had it.

You really need to stop eating the lead paint off the walls of your bunker.

I hadn’t had a flu shot in 40 years and in all that time had had the flu only once (35 years ago). Then I came down with it last winter (100% sure I picked it up at my doctor’s while there for other reasons) and it kicked my ass hard. I ain’t getting any younger. This year I got a flu shot.

I'm in the middle. I think they probably work good for some people, as many people swear by them and would have no reason to lie. But I also think they have a few nasty ingredients in them which is reason enough for a person to turn them down if they choose. They shouldn't be mandatory.

Then why does the AMA sanction it? Why does the Department of Veterans' Affairs innoculate any Veteran in good standing who wants one? How come these organizations have NEVER been successfully sued? I think I know why.

Besides, I'm not worried about my "precious bodily fluids".

The only thing mandatory are shots for children that protect other children from serious infections. Even then, they let parents opt out which is nuts.

Oh, and dogs have to be vaccinated for the safety of other dogs.

Yeah I know, there are many advocates for mandatory yearly flu shots.
