Lillard stared down the ref after the last continuation 3 he got in the 2nd half.
Sheed would've got a tech for the look Lillard gave.

Looked like Lillard also started to get annoyed with the refs failing phantom fouls on Collins also.
He let one go and just told him 'big man that's great defense'.
Next time it happened though he went straight to the ref.

The key was the 2nd unit with 51 points. Plus we better defense in the 2nd half. Collins was great defending the rim and he took away all those in paint points and force Lakers to start shooting outside. Between Aminu and Harkless they held LeBron to 8 points the 2nd half. Nik was huges in the 1st half especially when we was kind of struggling on offense. Big win Blazer!!!

Nurk was real good after a slow start. Collins stayed in at the end because he was on a roll , both sides of the court. Nurk will average a double double and dominate in many games. Any hate towards his performance tonight is asinine.

When Lillard said "big man that's great defense" it was the Meyers Leonard play on Brandon Ingram, not Collins.

If the Blazers beat the Lakers on opening night on national tv... does it make a sound? Apparently not.

Certainly looked to me like it came after Collins standing up LBJ driving to the left and blocking his shot clean.
Only to be called for a foul.
Only for Zach to yell 'How'.

The problem is the hold starting 5 was in the minus. Nurk play 17 minutes and had 16/9.

Im of the opinion Collins has like basically 0 offensive game, but is more of a game changer defensively than Aminu is, Collins best role is center in small ball line ups or playing next to Nurkic in the starting line up.

Collins showed potential, and I think
they should rip that band aid off. Im still not sold on Zach in a lot of ways but his ceiling is higher than Aminu’s.

yep. he had 2 passes that were stupid but other than he kept the 2nd unit aggressive. And he didn't miss one 3ball tonight. No reason for he, and Nurk to shoot any. Aminu, Collins, Hark maybe on occassion. But when you have Dame, CJ, Nik, Curry, and Jake on the floor..feed them

Meyers did a great job of finding the open 3 ball shooters. He gets it

Wtf are you talking? In the 1st half he was completely invisible, have you watched the Game? Sure he was good in the 2nd half, but in the 1st half he was completely useless. It's allways easy to quote someone after the Game, where are your posts ???

When Nurk goes out with foul trouble in the 4th, no reason to bring him back late in games when he has been sitting a while. That is why Ed played late in games last year. Stay with the hot hand.

If there was anyway to trade CJ straight across for Butler, I'd do it in a heart beat.

CJ may score a lot of points, but he just doesn't seem to make very many impactful plays
