Late free throw shooting? Not only that, they missed 18 free throws in the game.

Makes me wonder what the record is for most missed free throws by a team that won.

Yes. I was aware they shot terribly. But I was not going to mention it unless I had exact numbers. Leave anything to chance on these boards, and you'll find hear about it in the morning.

I've hated the Lakers for almost 20 years now, Ingram and Rondo turned me into a fan :biglaugh:

Harden should get treated like this at each game imo, the guy is super annoying and ruins basketball.

October. None of these games count. Half the players still think it's preseason...

Can't figure out OKC at all. Their defense has gone into the tank. SAC ran circles around em yesterday.

    Not true at all.

DEN started last season 9-7 before Millsap got hurt. That's a 46-win pace, which is exactly how may games they won.

For the season, DEN was 22-16 in the games Millsap played. For the season that's a 47-win pace, one more game than they actually won. This myth that DEN was somehow much better last year when Millsap played is exactly that, a myth.

SAS moving up two spots doesn't macth up with their comments:

"The Spurs certainly have felt the sting of losing point guard Dejounte Murray to a knee injury that will sideline him all season. Minnesota's Jeff Teague and Portland's Damian Lillard averaged 28 points on 63 percent shooting against San Antonio. Murray had established himself as an elite defender, as the Spurs allowed only 98 points per 100 possessions when he played last season. Their defensive rating is a sky-high 119.9 through two games. -- MacMahon"

So, they suck on defense with Murray out and he's going to be out all season, so let's move them up two spots. Sure, why not?

Here you go again just throwing out random numbers that look like they make sense, but really don’t and it just makes you look stupid! #WestBrook

See what I mean? Now The HCP is all confused because he thought both Denver and Westbrook were good.

OKC is one of those teams that nearly every wing held their man off the ball. Houston is another team that always got away with doing that. Now that the rules are being enforced a little more I think you are starting to see what players/teams are actually good at defense versus which teams were relying heavily on being able to be physical off the ball.

Is anyone surprised that these two teams are winless:

    upload_2018-10-22_10-14-6.png

I said it all summer, that surrounding LeBron with non-shooters was a terrible idea. Rob and Magic seemed bound and determined to justify all their 2nd and 3rd tier free agent signings by saying they cared more about guys who hustle and play with intensity over guys who can shoot. Yeah, that's going to work in today's high scoring 3-point happy NBA.

"What Johnson pitched to James was a team stocked with tough-minded playmakers like Stephenson and Rondo who could free up James to finish in the lanes and from the post, rather than having to create the lion's share of the offense himself. "

How is LeBron going to be "free" to finish in the lanes and from the post when guys like Rondo, Stephenson and Ball can't create space. Teams can just back off them, dare them to shoot and pack the paint. They aren't making LeBron's life easier, they are making it harder. And since when is having the best player on the planet creating the lion's share of your offense a bad thing? Isn't that the reason you sign a guy like LeBron in the first place? In MIA, Dwyane Wade took a backseat to LeBron, because it made the team better. How is taking the ball out of LeBron's hands and giving it to Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson or Lonzo Ball a good thing?

On the other hand, thanks Magic. Keep up the good work. It takes a special kind of idiot to turn LeBron James into a loser.

    upload_2018-10-22_10-15-26.png

Actually, with, or without Westbrick, they are the exact same team in one very important way. They are a team full of guards who can't shoot from deep.

I cringe every time I read a post about how many games in a row we can win. Can we just focus on taking care of business tonight?
