What puzzled me about those that thought OKC was going to be really good this year (i.e. lock to make the playoffs, 3rd seed, etc.) was that they didn't do anything in the off season to improve what hurt them last year. It's like people didn't know that Paul George played there last year and thought his re-signing meant that the team got better. You can argue their defense will improve when Roberson comes back but he is basically the worst shooting wing in the league which will only add to their struggles from 3.

I'm a nobody! I'm just not a fan of looking past any teams, especially when you consider how important a good start could be and the early season struggles of the last 3 seasons.

Point taken, bro. But don't worry. It's only three games. Not the first month and a half.

Schroeder to OKC and Melo to HOU made both teams worse. Schroeder is just Westbrook light. He's not nearly as good, but has all of the exact same weaknesses. OKC trying to play them together is hilarious.

HOU gave up way to much to make room for Melo. They killed their defense by losing Ariza and Mbah a Moute and they also lost their best 3-point shooter, in a offense that relies on 3-point shooting, in Ryan Anderson.

All for a ball stopping bench player who wanted to play with his buddies. Morey must have had some kind of hand shade agreement with CP3 that he'd get Melo, because from a basketball standpoint, none of those moves made any sense. I know Anderson's contract is horrible, but at this point in their careers, he's actually a better player than Melo and a MUCH better fit for what HOU needs. You could say the same thing about Ariza.

Do you think they should've traded for Kawai?

He'd be way better than any of the scrubs they signed, but didn't he take LAL off his "list" because he didn't want to play in LeBron's shadow?

It's hard to tell what are rumors and what would've happened if the Lakers made serious offers. It seems to me like the Lakers once again think so highly of themselves that they didn't want to give up anything to get Kawhi. After that strategy not working with Paul George you'd think they'd learn their lesson.

Rory Gallagher? That wouldn't surprise me in the least bit. He played so hard he wore the paint off his guitar and his amplifiers caught fire. What concert was it specifically? I could probably look it up online. I have quite a few of his bootlegs from that time period. He's my all time favorite music artist.

4 games for Ingram and 3 for Rondo. Is this a joke?

I lived in LA in the 90s when the Clippers were historically awful and they were my second-fave team, because they were the ultimate underdogs, and when Pooh Richardson is your best player, every win is more precious than gold. I've kind of hated them in the "Lob City" era, but it's okay to like them again now! It's not just because of Boban, they could genuinely be good, and they're crazy deep. I want a Gilgeous-Alexander shirt just because of the way the name looks:

Nope, they still have "Glenn" Rivers and Patrick Beverley. The rest of the team is fine though.

I think Doc Rivers probably enjoys coaching star-less teams like this - it might remind him of that first Orlando team that was supposed to be the worst team in the league (its "star" was probably Darrell Armstrong) but that he coached to the playoffs.

I liked Doc when he was a Clipper in the 90s! He was always one of the good guys as a player.
