Do we care that the article says the same about CNN and MSNBC, or are we only focusing on Fox?

Apologies. I wasn't looking at the graph...just the bolded sentence that said "the most popular news sources--Fox, CNN, and MSNBC--are the least informative". You are correct that CNN and MSNBC viewers were slightly higher on the graph than watching nothing.

We need a new tag for threads called "troll".

    But is 2012 really "recent"?

Would like to see updated results on this.

The subject itself is perfectly fine, and it wouldn't have been trolling if you didn't make a conceited effort to take a jab at other forum members in your introductory post, but you did, so it is.

No, although there is absolutely an award for alliteration.

There are several threads on the first page of OT that are the same type of "trolling" only bashing liberals instead of conservatives.

Where did he write an insult? Claiming your thread is a troll thread? That is his opinion. Its not really an i sult even though it offended you. What part should I clean up?

    This.

Claiming a post is personally insulting to you is not the same as a personal insult. Then everyone could claim that.

Giving an opinion on a thread and or post is perfectly fine. That's pretty much the purpose of a forum, giving opinions. "Attack the post, not the poster."

Instead of insulting him for giving an opinion on this thread why not explain why this thread is of interest to you. I have always found @jonnyboy to be open to constrictive debate and discussion even if it is not a subject that he agrees with.

In a way it is a "troll" thread. A liberal thread trolling the right, just as there are several conservative threads trolling the left in the OT. Instead of insulting him ask him why he thinks it is a troll thread. What is his basis. More conversation less bickering

I'm saying have a conversation about it. Thats how you make threads constructive.

I deleted that post. I will not close the thread. I have been fair. Mt Tabor is between you and him. I certainly would not recommend that.

Yes, very much so. This is of great concern to me.

But how do I do that? I feel more swag, more events, more access to players and important people in Blazer history. MORE BLAZER STUFF that is fun for fans. Having myself and staff micromanage the OT section is not supportive of that. That's why I'm just going to start putting an end to some of the BS.

Saying a thread is a troll thread is not a terrible thing. Right now we have 2 staff members in the forum. And right now these 2 staff members are devoting their time to you and this thread. I think that's damn good even if you're not satisfied with our actions or decisions.

I'm not sure if the standard for posting in a thread should be, "is it constructive." That seems like a lot more moderation required to enforce that forum wide.

@CupWizier you had a comment where you noted you and i had discussed how some things can be frustrating/ or you understand my frustrations. I wanted to quote it, but it was deleted. Im guessing by a mod.

I wanted to say that, yes, we have come to a level of respect and understand frustrations.
I also cant see much of what transpired in this thread, due to edits and deletions, so forgive me if im not completely accurate.
With that said, i respectfully disagree with you. If you read above in your op i noted, you are insinuating that some members are less informed, or more ignarant than others for watching fox news.
Not really a big deal, however when you choose to call out certain members in a vague manner, you have to be prepared for there to be a variety of responses. It looks like a few people, or someone, took it personal. Again cant tell.
Maybe over the top, maybe not, but please understand, when you initiate a jab like that, you will get responses in kind.
These innitiations are what drives the responses that you claim derailed the thread.
Im saying you invited the derailing with your innitial jab in the op.

It is these things that frustrate me.

We have to be fair and fair means if your gonna start a thread that swings at some members you cant cry foul when members swing back. Its been my long standing complaint about this place. Far too many members do this here. Post a jab and then Bitch about the retaliation.

If anyone really wants this forum to improve and grow then it starts with each member holding themselves accountable. Mods will never be able to create anything great here if the forum is always at odds.
Yes, disagreements have and will continue to happen, but ALL forum members must be impartial about themsevles and others, when passing judgment on what is acceptable or not around here and if we all just took a step back when disagreeing and try to see if what someone is about to post would or could be taken wrong, maybe think of a way to reword it instead of intentionally or even unintentionally posting things that appear to be aimed at setting another off.

Get to know someone before you start jabbing if you are jabbing in fun.
Make sure they know its a jab in fun if it is not taken as such and dont do so while simultaneously insulting the person. It is contridictory.

These are basic communication skills that are either generally lacking here or intentionally disregarded in favor of watching others become frustrated.
Either way its warn me out.

I plead with all of you mods to reevaluate this editing and possibly only edit when it could be a danger to the blazers or something.

This thread is near impossible to follow aNd in the middle of reading it, cup mentioned me, but its now gone along with alot of other content.
Not only is it completely confusing now, but it leads mods vulnerable to be accused of editing off of preferential treatment. Whether it exists or not.
You can always make a mods note below the posts, IN the posts, so all know it isnt good or has been deemed as a rule breaker aNd a warning has been given, etc.
there are several ways to make it known the post was in violation aNd still leave it there for ease of reading as well as full disclosure as to what was the violation aNd not just that a violation occured.
