Seems like real news with a semi sensationalistic headline.

Fox news is the propoganda division of the Trump administration though. This is just another story connecting the two.

Misleading at best. Guy leaves fox in 2017 and joins Trump in 2018.

Is there an AP story on CNN being the resistance?

the story is that a trump aid has been receiving and will continue to receive monies totaling $7 million dollars since joining the white house staff through may of next year. seems to be a fact that isn't being reputed. as chief of staff for white house communications, his income sources must be disclosed and a news agency is reporting it. don't see the fake news at all.

Yes and the title makes it seem to anyone that he's getting the money for something he's doing for Trump. Hence the term "fake news"

I think that's your interpretation of the title and your reading a lot into it yourself. I don't find anything about the title or the article being fake news.

How would you word the title better?

Considering that Fox News publicly came out in support of Jim Acosta and his loss of press credentials there does not appear to be a conflict of interest with Fox News and their former employee.

How about, "Ex fox news millionaire and co-president is white house aide, despite resigning from fox news in scandal. Still receives severance payments from former employer."?

Personally I don't think the story here is that he is getting severance pay by Fox News still, I think its that Trump continues to hire the worst and most nefarious people for every position possible. In this case its a high level fox news executive who most likely still has connections with his old company and has experience in dealing with scandals, which is why Trump probably hired him. Some of that is speculation though, but given Trumps track record its not off base speculation. Either way its not fake news and its not a big story to get all upset over the media with, imo.

i reread it, but only saw the possible implication of whether or not it is ethical for the chief white house communications officer to be receiving payments from any news network, severance or otherwise.

You asked specifically about the headline, so we replied about the headline.

Now you want to know about the word choice "often fawning" in the article. I'd say that description is completely factual. Would you like to provide an argument to the contrary?

    fawning
    adjective

    fawn·ing | \ˈfȯ-niŋ,

    ˈfä-\
    Definition of fawning
: seeking or used to seek approval or favor by means of flattery … they are excellent emblems of fawning yet fickle fandom …— Thomas Boswell He's sitting in a shaded pavillion, surrounded by a dozen fawning politicians …— Barbara Crossette I was astonished that Frost could've read the poem as anything but an act of fawning servility.— Tobias Wolff
from websters, and the context was about the cable news channel, not the news program, so yes, there coverage on their talk shows are often "fawning" for the presidents approval and attention.
