Get Mariota out of Tennessee before his career's wasted. This is just sad to see.

To be fair I didnt drop all my players. Also HailBlazer did say he thought he had dropped Alex Smith, I had totally forgotten about him saying that.

Thanks. Guess it's the price you-all pay for inviting rooks to the league! Literally my first time ever playing fantasy football and have had troubles with the software since the draft. Lots of lessons learned for sure if Hoopsjerk ;) and Tortured let me continue on next year.

It was my fault, I am not gonna make excuses for mysef but suffice it to say I have had a really long couple weeks. I totally forgot about what you said in regards to smith. So I apologize for throwing your name out there.

Anyways you’re doing better than I am. Also, only other time I tried to play fantasy football was like a decade ago so Im pretty new at it too.

Alright, we have an issue and I need some advice.

The playoff tiebreaker is Head-To-Head (Between the amount of teams tied), and then if there's a tie there, then it's "Points For". I posted this a while back in this thread but it'll be hard to find.

Me, Steelers, and Perez are all tied right now.
I'm 2-1 against those two teams (1-0 against Steelers, 1-1 against Perez)
    Steelers is 1-1 against us
    Perez is 1-2 against us

For some reason, the "Playoff Seeding" has Steelers ahead of me. I don't know why it has Steelers ahead, as I put the tiebreaker as "Head-To-Head" record. Maybe that doesn't work for 3 teams, but that's how I intended it to be. This will only be and issue if I win, Steelers wins, and Perez wins this week.

    Advice? @hoopsjock @trailblazer18 @The Professional Fan

...fairly certain it's the other way around -- "Points For", then head to head -- so since you won't be tied with "Points For" Steelers is getting the nod :dunno:

It's not, I set the tiebreaker to "Head-to-Head" instead of "Points For".

ALSO, HERE'S MY KEEPER PROPOSAL FOR NEXT YEAR:
    KEEPER IDEA 1
    MAIN RULES

    - Keep up to 3 Players
    - You can keep a player 2 years in a row (not a third)
    - If you keep a player, you lose a pick in the round in the following rounds (1st loses a 1st (with extra losses stated below), 2nd loses a 1st, 3rd+4th lose a 2nd, 5th-7th lose a 3rd, 8th-10th lose a 4th, 11th-13th lose a 5th, 14th and lower loses a 6th)
    -If a player gets kept a 2nd year (1st and 2nd lose a 1st w/ extra losses below, 3rd-4th loses a 1st, 5th-8th loses a 2nd, 9th-12th lose a 3rd, 13th & lower loses a 4th)
    - A waiver wire add gives up a 6th Round Pick, 4th if they were top 10 at their position, 2nd if they were top 5
    TOP PICK RULES
If a player keeps a 1st Rounder or a 2nd Rounder for a second time.

They lose their 1st Round Pick AND
Their 2nd Round Pick Moves Down 6 Spots OR
Their 3rd Round Pick Moves Down 8 spots OR
Their 4th and 6th Round Picks Move Down 10 spots
(The member can choose, dependent on other rounds lost)
    If a player keeps a 1st Rounder for a 2nd Year
They lose their 1st Round Pick AND
Their 2nd Round Pick Moves Down 9 Spots OR
Their 3rd Round Pick Moves Down 12 spots OR
Their 4th and 6th Round Picks Move Down 16 Spots
(The member can choose, dependent on other rounds lost)

Would have to create a system to account for if a member keeps multiple players the correspond with the same round loss.

Let me know if you guys like the structure and idea of this keeper system, and suggest any changes to it if you have ideas.

Playoff Re-Structure for Next Season if we Have 12 Teams:
12-Week Season, 6 Team Playoffs (or 7, however you wanna look at it), every team plays each other once, with a second team twice (We could designate specific rivalries for the 2nd game?)
    Week 13:
    6 vs. 7 Play-In Game
2 vs. 3 Game for BYE
    1, 4, & 5 are LOCKED IN. 8, 9, 10, 11, & 12 MISS PLAYOFFS. 1, 4, and 5 would play teams that miss the playoffs that they haven't played twice.

I like this idea because it would create a meaningful incentive to finish 1st instead of 2nd, or 3rd instead of 4th/5th, and 4th/5th instead of 6th.
7 of 12 teams being "playoff" teams is a good split, IMO.

Just making sure I get it, a waiver wire add is a 6th rounder, even if they were someones 2nd round pick and they dropped them for whatever reason? (not saying thats good or bad I just want to make sure Im reading it right).

Yes, unless that player is top 10 (you'd lose a 4th) or top 5 (you'd lose a 2nd). I'll probably create a 2nd IR slot too, so that we don't end up with people adding good players at the very end who have been lost for the season so teams could simply stash them throughout the year.

I also might put a cap on the amount of weekly bonuses someone can earn at 3 or 4, but we can discuss that later.

Cool beans (yup just said that). I like the idea. I like the idea of a keeper league in general, I think it creates the sense of long term strategy, and guys who get hurt like Cooper Kupp wouldnt just be an automatic drop.

...then you will get the 6th spot assuming everything plays out that way you need it to -- I wouldn't put too much weight into the Consolation bracket seeding, but you never know what ESPN is going to do :dunno:

But what if he gets it when I've stated the tiebreaker is head to head and the rule in ESPN says that?

On mine it says "Projected Winners Bracket". I took that as them guessing what is the most likely scenario due to some formula and not a definitive if the playoffs started today thing.

If you're worried about it can you email ESPN and ask them?

It certainly looks like ESPN has your tie breaker set as total pts, which I prefer over head to head, but if that was not your intent something is wrong.

EDIT: I clearly see in the league settings that you set it up as head to head tie breaker

This is insanely confusing. I'm not following. I get that we lose picks in the draft if we decide to keep players and the draft picks/penalties increase if we decide to keep additional players but the additional picks, as written, has my head spinning.
