Sorry if this response is out of place. So much of the Lillard and CJ in crunch time stuff is because of how Stotts runs the offense. Usually the guy who’s been “on” gets the majority of the crunch time ball handling / shooting and the other is mostly a decoy in the corner. The Blazers offense grinds to halt late games, its mostly Dame ot CJ dribbling a lot and either getting their own or making ONE pass (usually when they couldnt shake their man).

I think Dame and CJ have pretty good chemistry together its more a function of the offense than how well they play together.

It does seem odd that they assist each other so little. Are they more valuable as decoys? Couldn't we mix it up a little?

Give credit to the Clippers. They overwhelmingly won the Chris Paul and Blake Griffin trades.

Well Houston was in the WCF last year ans before CP3 got hurt they were up 3-2. Clippers have been pretty good this year but they havent really proved anything yet.

Yes, but CP3 DID get hurt and they DIDN'T make the Finals and now they've had to give a huge contract to a guy who always gets hurt in the playoffs. So they stuck themselves with a big contract and will be paying Chris Paul way too much money for what he'll be worth in a couple years. They're one of the worst teams in the West now and they lost Harrell in the process. Meanwhile, Clips are full of talent with cap space to play with in the summer. I think they're in a much better position than the Rockets. Blake Griffin is playing well in Detroit, but Harris is just as good and Clips got Bradley in the trade too and again, they saved cap space for this summer.

Having cap space doesnt neccesarily mean they’ll get any of big name guys they want. Im not saying they’re in a bad position, cause they arent.

You should create a separate thread ALLLLLLLL about the Clippers on our Trail Blazer fan forum. I'm sure EVERYBODY wants to chime in if they are "real" or not. Can't wait!

I think they will get one of Durant or Kawhi and then resign Harris. That team would be good and would balance the Western Conference.

These new Wolves city jerseys are so fecking dope (unrelated to recent games but just saw them again recently and they are amazing).

If they manage to extend Harris at $25million a year or less it's going to be a huge win. They'll basically get SGA, Harris and two years of Bradley plus free up $10million+ of cap space. Excellent.

Same with Chris Paul trade. They got 2 years of Beverley, a very good center (Harrell) and a quality sixth man in Williams for a player who was going to leave anyway.

Amazing management from them. Deserve some award for the last two years.

Who needs big names when you have the league's best talent evaluator to find cheap underrated names who then perform big. West is SMART. He used to be Chic Hearn's choice as the most talkative Laker for the post-game show interview, but then Jerry retired and went incommunicado.

Seems like he hit a gold mine with SGA. I wonder how good Robinson really is but it's not like players who were picked after him were rated that highly. Josh Okogie has been good though.

SGA will be special though. I kind of did not understand moving up a spot to select him though, if Charlotte wanted Bridges anyway and Clippers wanted SGA why did they need to make that trade?

I'm so utterly bored by these 3-point shootouts. Might as well turn the NBA into a professional H.O.R.S.E. league. Yawn. Wake me when they start playing basketball again.

They need to widen the court and extend the 3pt line.
